We had the good fortune of connecting with Sheridan Street and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sheridan, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
What I’ve come to appreciate outside of personally learning and constantly bettering your craft is keeping great relationships with your clientele. When people speak highly of your name in rooms you’re not in it’s one of the best feelings. to have a lead let you know someone wants to share magic with them through your business is priceless. Online and interpersonal ways of supporting/ sharing your business is completely free for others to do and people don’t understand how important that can be for your brand. So thank you to everyone who has done that for me! I will continue to make you proud.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My food is my art and although I am a business woman as well I’m still sensitive about my ish! I’ve learned many lessons and have been taken advantage of financially as well as been ghosted. It’s crazy what people will do to scam you but you learn and continue to grow while protecting yourself and your craft. I’ve been doing private celebrity chef work for 4 years and my brand turns 6yo 3/16! My food is made with love and layered flavors that compliment each other well. I value anticipating needs and smart service. I pay attention to detail so my best to make each experience stand out from the next.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First and foremost if my friend came to visit I’d take them to Louisiana Purchase, a creole black owned restaurant, located in Normal Heights. It’s a must go with AMAZING food and delicious cocktails! Go to a Padres baseball game at Petco Park, hang out in Balboa Park for some history sight seeing and end it with a few trips to Mission and Pacific Beach for a few beers at El Prez or Pacific Beach Shore Club.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many people who have helped me and encouraged me through the Journey of entrepreneurship. My mother is my number one fan but outside of family I’d like to send a special shout out to my friends Chuck, Tashonda and Ericka for always having my back and giving me the encouragement I need! As well as some new found partners like Chef Kelston & Chef Tony who have been such a inspiration to the biz!
