We had the good fortune of connecting with Sarina Sandoval and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sarina, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Advice that I have given to myself & others who are interested in working for themselves & ultimately creating their own brand is to BE YOURSELF. I cannot stress this enough. I believe that the universe only made one of you for a reason. Why waste yourself trying to be someone else, when you are unique in your own way. Being yourself helps cater to a new audience, an audience who has been waiting for you to knock on their door, haha. It really is as simple as this. If you can’t be yourself with your audience, then you’re in the wrong business. Life in general is so much easier being genuine. 🙂
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am considered a “micro influencer” 🙂 The term makes me smile because I am also very small in real life haha, but my engagement with my audience is well above the 3%! I got to where I am today by just going for it, literally. I am a dreamer, & always have been. I believe that if we want something bad enough, we will obtain it one way or another. The secret to obtaining your life dream is to not worry about the “how’s” or “when’s.” When you start to worry about the “how’s” & “when’s” is when you set yourself up for disaster. Opportunity lies in the present moment. If you keep living in the predictable future, you leave no room for the mystical that can only exist in the present moment.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
San Diego, California is a beautiful place to live, truly. My husband & I are huge beer, wine, & food fanatics. A spot I would really encourage someone traveling to San Diego would be to go to Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens in Escondido. It’s simply beautiful there. You can beer taste all day, eat the most delicious tavern food, & even sign up to go on their beer tour where you get to learn all about Stone beer & the brand behind it. On to wine, a must stop would be Orfila tasting room in Oceanside. They are known for their Pinot Noirs (my fave). They have live music on the weekends, food to die for, & of course the best red wines on the market. Both of these places offer such a beautiful ambiance.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family deserves the biggest shoutout! I have always had my family on the sidelines cheering me on. My husband, being my biggest fan. He is always encouraging me to take risks & to go get what I want in this industry. If I ever become discouraged, he gives me these little pep talks that ultimately, in turn, boost my self confidence, & encourage me to NEVER give up. Who said getting what you want would be easy? Am I right? Haha. 🙂
my husband Greg 🙂
