We had the good fortune of connecting with Sara Roth and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sara, what matters most to you?
Feeling in alignment is what matters most to me. When I am aligned with love and with my purpose, I experience happiness, connection & positivity. Aligning my mind, body & soul allows me to go with the flow of life rather than resisting it. When I’m out of alignment, I feel stress, anxiety and unhappiness.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
With my work as holistic health coach, I am able to help people gain more energy, live a healthier, more vibrant life, and feel confident in their body. It’s incredibly rewarding to see the transformation that can occur in such a short time of working together. While I work with people in all walks of life, I’m especially passionate about helping families build a healthy, sustainable lifestyle. We focus on simple and practical changes because those are the ones that stick for a lifetime! Since becoming a mom, I’ve shifted priorities and I make sure that I’m working in a way that feels good for me and my family. Sometimes that means I have more time for running programs, creating content, and taking on new 1:1 clients, and other times that means focusing more on my home life. Learning to ride these ebbs & flows, without feeling guilty or putting a bunch of pressure on myself, allows me to be more present in each of my roles and helps reduce unnecessary stress. As any mom knows, juggling lots of thing at once comes with the territory, but I am constantly working on giving energy only to the things that truly matter and letting the other stuff go!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The best time in SD starts with a beach day at Seaside in Cardiff. We’d Door Dish dinner from Nectarine Grove so that we could stay at the beach for a beautiful sunset. Post-sunset, it’s time to grab a spicy margarita (or 2) at Alce 101. Next morning, we’d hike Torrey Pines and end up at One Paseo in Del mar for lunch (Tocaya Organica or Parakeet Cafe) and some shopping (Pigment and Van de Vort). Depending on our mood, we might go back to the beach or head to San Dieguito County Park for some kid-friendly hiking and exploring. A quick stop into Cedar & Ivy Salon for a haircut & color by Kelsey and we’re ready to hit the town! Dinner at The Pony Room at Rancho Valencia can’t be beat! The ambiance, food (favs- the cauliflower app and lobster tacos), drinks, and people watching is spot on! Sunday morning is all about visiting the Leucadia Farmer’s Market for some fresh produce and healthy treats. Then it’s time to go back to the beach 🙂

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a shoutout to my kids, Harper & Cruz. They are truly my greatest teachers and they inspire me to become a better version of myself each and every day!
