We had the good fortune of connecting with Reyes Baca and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Reyes, what do you attribute your success to?
In the social media industry, I believe building real relationships is what leads to success. Relationships with your followers, as well as any brands that you partner with. I have met many of the small business owners that I work and it is always great to get to know the person whose brand you’re supporting.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Something I am most proud of is that I have learned to adapt, both personally and professionally. I am by nature a “planner,” but with COVID and life in general we have to learn how to deal with the circumstances at hand. Once I come to accept that something isn’t going to go as perfectly as planned I pivot into trying to find joy in the present.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oh my goodness! Where to begin? Let’s see, if this was an out-of towner I would definitely want to show them around Los Angeles and that journey would begin in Downtown. I love visiting unique art galleries like Lowell-Ryan Art Gallery or Please Do Not Enter. We would of course have to treat ourselves to a cocktail on the rooftop restaurant Pilot, at the fairly new Hoxton Hotel. One thing not many people know, is that LA has a subway that connects many of the cultural hotspots. I would invite my friend to take the subway to save on some of the hefty parking prices!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I am encouraged by my peers on social media! Many of us “la/oc explorers” follow one another and though we do some of the same things we each bring our own personality to the experience!
