We had the good fortune of connecting with Rain Pollocl and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rain, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I’ve always had a creative, entrepreneurial mind. I started and organized several groups throughout school and started fake businesses for fun. When I was out of high school, I had so many ideas for little businesses and projects to start, I luckily knew a handful of people who ran their own businesses so I asked around for advice and help. Starting a business is a great way to make one feel like you have your own identity and feel like you have a greater purpose in life.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m a multi genre, music artist however I am also a dancer and visual artist. I believe that the purpose of creativity and art is the flow state. This is very powerful because it’s universal language used to manipulate energy in such a positive, powerful way. always known that I wanted to be a musician or artist, since I was a young child. I believe my purpose is to help people connect with music and the flow state. Along with performing, I am a music educator for all ages and experience levels.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Let’s start with some morning nature, a hike or walk on the waterfront, or through the city to grab a fueling bite to eat for lunch at one of the many food cart parks. In a full stomach we would go home to get ready and prepared for the treat of the day. Afterwards we would take a trip to Trader Joe’s to grab snacks and an art store to grab paints and crafts. The skidmore bluffs is a beautiful spot to paint and picnic for sunset!as night life approaches we would check out some amazing local music or go dancing while meeting some new friends and promoting shows
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
