We had the good fortune of connecting with Paola Castro and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Paola, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process was very simple and very personal. I kept meeting incredibly talented dance directors who were spending more time on admin than on the art itself. They were using spreadsheets, payment apps, and manual check-ins just to keep their businesses running. I realized the problem wasn’t their creativity or their work ethic, it was the lack of a tool built specifically for the reality of dance.
I started Todosx to remove that barrier. I wanted to create a system that made the business side feel as smooth and intuitive as the dancing itself. If I could give directors clarity, predictable revenue, and fewer fires to put out, then they could pour their time back into teaching, choreography, and community building. That was the driving force behind starting my own business: empowering the people who create moments of joy and connection every single week.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Todosx is different because it is built specifically for artists, not just fitness professionals. Dance businesses have their own rhythms, seasonality, and community needs, and we’ve designed the platform around that reality. Beyond the software, we also guide directors on what we’ve seen work best: class names, pricing, limited time offers, subscriptions, and all the details that help dancers understand their options. We walk every director through onboarding step by step so they feel confident and set up for success.
What I’m most proud of is the partnerships we’ve built with the business owners we serve. We genuinely listen to their needs and use their feedback to make the product better. That collaboration is the heart of Todosx.
Getting here wasn’t easy. Building a business in a creative industry means solving operational challenges without losing the soul of the art. Consistency is what carried us through. Showing up every day, staying close to our customers, and remembering why this work matters helped us navigate the difficult moments.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is to lead with compassion. Treat people with kindness. Put people first always. When you build from that place, everything else follows.
What I want the world to know is that Todosx is more than a software tool. It’s a unifying platform designed to help artists run profitable, stable businesses so they can keep creating the spaces where community and connection happen. The world is craving more of that connection, and our mission is to remove the barriers that stop artists from thriving.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

Start the day with a sunrise surf session at Pipes in Encinitas. It’s one of Paola’s favorite spots—uncrowded, mellow, and full of local energy. Just good waves and good vibes.
☕ Late Morning – Coffee at Caféina
Post-surf coffee at Caféina Café in City Heights. A cozy, community-rooted spot with rich drinks and a welcoming atmosphere—perfect for recharging.
🍍 Midday – Snack at Açaí Carioca
Swing by Açaí Carioca in Pacific Beach for a vibrant Brazilian bowl. Light, nourishing, and full of flavor—ideal after a salty morning and a strong coffee.
🎨 Afternoon – Urban Stroll in North Park
Head to North Park for an artsy, urban walk. Explore local murals, browse indie shops like Verbatim Books and Simply Local, and soak in the creative pulse of the neighborhood.
🍣 Early Dinner – SoCal Sushi
Grab dinner at SoCal Sushi in Normal Heights. Unfussy and delicious—one of those neighborhood gems you always want to share with someone visiting.
💃 Evening – Dancing at El Flow
Close the day at El Flow Dance Studio. Whether it’s salsa, bachata, or just vibing with the community, it’s the perfect way to end a day rooted in movement, joy, and connection.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a big shoutout to El Flow Dance Studio. They opened their doors in April 2025 and have already created one of the most welcoming, supportive dance communities I’ve ever seen. They bring people together from all walks of life and make everyone feel like they belong from the moment they walk in.
They’ve also played a meaningful role in the growth of Todosx. The El Flow team has been incredibly generous with their feedback, and we’ve used their real world insights to build Todosx into the strongest, most intuitive tool possible for managing a dance studio. Their openness, honesty, and commitment to their dancers have directly shaped our product, and I’m deeply grateful for that partnership.
