We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicolette/ Monika Abdelsayed/ Teddawis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nicolette/ Monika, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
Having a partner really helps with it all. It’s nice to have someone to bounce ideas off of and encourage eachother when one of us starts to feels down. Starting a business can feel really overwhelming at first and having your best friend to grow with, makes things a lot easier and more fun.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are two best friends who were left unemployed in the middle of the pandemic and needed to find a way to spend our time. We came up with the idea to start our own boutique together. We loved the fashion industry and knew this was the perfect plan. We had many challenges along the way as we taught ourselves business operations, government regulations, and the fashion and social media industry. Everyday we are learning and becoming better together.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Our must try dining places:

Howlin Rays in DTLA/ Pasadena
They have the BEST Nashville hot chicken. Everything is so good from there but their sandos are a must when you visit.

Bulgogi Hut in Koreatown
A must for all you can eat kbbq. Have to get the cheese sauce to dip!

For drinks and hangouts:

Ep&lp in weho
Adorable rooftop bar, perfect for day or night

Hermosa beach pier
Has a ton of restaurants/ bars right on the beach. Great to grab a drink then lay out on the sand

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Our family has been our biggest support system! Our office started in our parents attic. We feel so fortunate to have a rent free space where we were able to have photoshoots, store inventory and complete daily business operations. The consistent support and encouragement from both our family and friends through every milestone helped us push forward and get us to where we are today
