We had the good fortune of connecting with Ms. Angie and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ms. Angie, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success and the success of my brand is to be able to reach those who are in need of encouragement and inspiration. It is my dream to be a leader among inspirational and motivational speaking along with social media posts that effect people in a positive way. I know from experience that so many women struggle to find their worth and having to fight throughout my life to keep my worth makes me the strong woman I am today. The success of my brand will come down to being able to reach the women who have not yet found their worth or who by the hands of others have been made to feel unworthy. This includes but not limited to topics such as marriage, parenting, self and even foster care. One might be surprised to know that finding your worth in the system of foster care is quite difficult and of course the toll that it plays on ones marriage and parenting styles.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
While acting and being in film was my dream as a younger me, being a wife, and military wife of 20 years at that didn’t really allow for it. Life’s up and downs prepared me and molded me into the person I am today. I don’t regret not getting to fulfill my dream then as I believe my purpose is to take all my life experiences and mold them together to help others and my heart loves helping others. I worked in the corporate fields as a customer service specialist because my ability to make customers know they were important and to make sure they were satisfied lead me to love working with people even more. We can all understand being frustrated at some situation where the company you were working with didn’t meet your expectations, and having that person that smooths all that over is very important to the company and to the customer. Well, this is what I hope to in my business especially as the world is struggling to find its place again, to bring a calm in the storm for people who are feeling left behind and not acknowledged by those around them. Not for a company but for them as a way of life, I hold the secrets of how to be satisfied within so that when the world around you is falling apart, you can stay focused and not let the outside world effect the way you respond. It has not always been easy to do what I do, some people just choose to be unhappy. Life has upset them so much that it is difficult to turn that around. Foster Care for example, the parents are just never going to be satisfied with the idea that their children have been taken and they are not going to accept it in many ways. In order to combat that, I work hard keeping the relationship with my kids parents on a positive note by sending pictures and working towards the goal of everyone getting together when the time is right. I hope the world will soon know that I am here for you in the best possible way. I can’t fix everything and I don’t have all the answers, but what I do have is all the resources available to assist us in making life better for you. And the great thing is you can never ever disappoint me.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well, I was born and raised right here in Norfolk VA. I have lived all my years here even being a military wife. So this is my town and I know it well. There are just so many places Norfolk has to offer. When my friends come to town really our favorite thing to do is catch up. We love spending time talking and learning how life is going. My main goal is always to make sure that my friends are well and that all of life is treating them well. I have several friends in the field of acting so I only get to spend a little time with them. One of the couples we take to dinner at least once a year. We took the to a restaurant called the Melting Pot in Virginia Beach. At this particular restaurant you get to cook your own food and it has a very nice environment for visiting and catching up. Now the benefit to living twenty minutes from the ocean front is there is an amazing board walk that goes for miles and so many places to eat. From Italian to Greek and everything in between. It is a great place to just walk and watch people and see all the different types of individuals in the area all in one place. There is lots of shopping for souvenirs and even a place to skydive without jumping out of a plane. We can’t forget the historic down town Norfolk. There is a place by the Chrysler Museum where you can create your own glass piece. I made a pumpkin there once with a girlfriend of mine and we had a blast. Now, its hot near that glass oven, so they have people there to help you, but it was so much fun. The museum also has a ton of things you can do and they host family days and they are right on The Hague, a body of water that comes in off of the Elizabeth river. After a trip around the museum we can hit the MacArthur Mall and have a nice lunch take in a movie and do some shopping. The streets of downtown Norfolk are full of places to eat and shop and the brick sidewalks have been a favorite of mine even since I was a kid.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Definitely Gabriela Kostadinova and her husband Steven Shulgach. They have really pushed me to go beyond my own limitations of what I thought I could achieve and set the stage for me to make my dream a reality. They have helped connect me with others that have done an amazing job at making the brand move forward and begin. They have created a Ms. Angie Show available on my YouTube channel where anyone needing encouragement or an insight to life’s struggles can go and get the encouragement they need and even be able to reach out to me directly for additional support and resources as needed.
