Meet Megan Caprice Alfaro | Women’s Mentor & Psychic Guide

We had the good fortune of connecting with Megan Caprice Alfaro and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Megan Caprice, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
In hindsight I can honestly say that I had no intentional process.
Ten plus years ago I wasn’t looking to anyone as a model or expander for what I became. Social media wasn’t the booming source of expansion it is today either. I didn’t even have language for who I was becoming and what I’m known for. For example, when women were coming to me to work with me for longer period of time, I was ignorant to what that was; the language, the set-up, everything. It was a little backwards actually; rather than built it and they will come – it was more the people were coming but I was building to their needs. I had no idea I was headed anywhere. I was simply a student of myself and in transforming myself and studying myself, the natural course of events that unfolded involved public speaking, weekly classes, monthly sold-out ceremonies, developing YTT curriculum, building and generating communities from East to West Coast and becoming a Women’s Mentor and Guide. The growth was very organic and on the ground.
Everything originated from my own private space, embodiment, and rituals. This private world of mine where I was deeply trying to find purpose and quite literally studying magic amongst many other layers of this human experience. My thought process was self-discovery rather than the big picture of what I would be to others let alone form a business or legacy. There was no plan, no goal; simply a seeker in pursuit of her own philosophers’ stone and as I kept trekking my path, I found people following me, so I shared, and they gathered.
It’s only right now as I’m reflecting on the last ten years of my life and approaching my 39th birthday this January 2025, that I’m finding some interesting things within myself that have yet to be fully expressed or that need a home in my world and the intentional planning of business is still to come. Aka ya girl has not peaked yet! I’m cooking up a book, a podcast, there are lots of things in the kitchen so to speak. So, heads up to the women in their 20s and 30s reading this, you can become and unbecome as many times as you want. Hell, I might pivot everything I’ve done, it’s not quite clear. It’s wild to have this reflection though, to see what can be done without a thought about it. To see what success I became and even developed for others without ever planning. I suppose that was a karmic flow steering my 30s. It makes me wonder what is possible with even greater intention in conjunction with years of experience. It has to only go up from here.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Hm, what sets me apart. Ya know… Blending different sides of myself comes to mind.
The balance of my spiritual medicinal lineage with my grunge/punk South Florida roots. My own embodiment and self-discovery have shown others that there are no strict rules, but there is always divine polarity. Both sides of me—like two wolves—coexist and shape my unique perspective on personal well-being.
I don’t follow any singular teaching or method, and I’m not guided by anyone in particular other than myself. These layers of me attract other seekers and rebels. Those who are wanting to walk their authentic path. What’s most important to me is to lead you to your Self. You as the teacher, you as the compass, you as the Altar. You as the alchemist. I’m not here to fix you or heal you – I’m here to wake you up to who you are and what you want. To show you your magic and expand your toolbox. Everything is in you and yeah sometimes we need great women to sit with and be led by for a while to get there. Healing journeys and upleveling journeys can feel lonely. I personally know they require solitude and a lot of endings – I do take pride in being someone with a lantern ready to take you somewhere you haven’t been before and teach you how to get there on your own.
I’m known for offering experiences, tools, and mentorship to help modern women reconnect with their true selves, their spirituality, their intuition, and their shadow work. And yeah, it’s an absolute honor. I’m looking forward to meeting you if you’re reading this… and I’m looking forward to new visions in 2025.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Some of my favorite things: Morning walks along Sunset Cliffs. Breakfast at the Rose. A smoke and some snacks on Mount Soledad. A little daytime getaway to Yucca Valley to thrift and not be perceived. Pop back in for dinner at Pomegranate and a night of Jazz at Lou Lou’s. Can’t forget a day in the sun at Blacks Beach and a hike on Iron Mountain. And if we need to co-work I love popping down at Subterranean Coffee. I mean, San Diego sits in the center of a choose your own adventure landscape. In any which direction there’s bound to be gold.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to deeply express my love and gratitude to all of my students, mentees, clients, ceremony attendees – the many who have sat in a room with me to open up the vessels of their bodies, to somatically radiate around fires and returned every week… every month to sit with me and each other. My home and chosen family have always been the communities I’ve built and tended to. Each and every one of you I hold so dearly. You have been my mirrors, my encouragement, my reason to show up. Thank you for trusting me to guide you into yourself and beyond. Thank you for being co-creators to these experiences I hold in memory very tenderly. I can’t imagine a world where I kept floating through like a ghost and my students didn’t stop me to show me who I became and what I had done – pivotal.
