We had the good fortune of connecting with Marshauna McGlothin and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Marshauna, how do you think about risk?
I always push myself to take risk more. Without taking risk you won’t be able to identify areas of opportunity. This lets you see what works best and what doesn’t. It allows you to see you’re growth as a person. Risk comes from many factors it comes from financial and social standpoints. If you stand for your brand and what you believe it you’re more guaranteed to inspire someone else to take that risk and want to do more with their life as far as development goes.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Being a life coach isn’t easy it takes a lot of communication skills to provide and meet the needs of each client. Along the way I discovered that my overall goal is to help people particularly youth to get their foot in the door with the workforce. Growing up in South East San Diego not everyone receives the same opportunities and/or support when it comes to reaching goals. I think everyone deserves the same opportunity and resources to get their life on the right path. I myself didn’t have the resources growing up. I had to research and learn about resume building. Then as I got further into job hunting I had to teach myself about cover letters and thank you letters to show I’m a top candidate. My Your vintage life coach is moving more towards non profit because everyone deserves their stepping stone in life.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to Surf and Soul Spot first for lunch. I love their fried fish and macaroni. I love the staff their really great. Then end the day with Chiquitas on home ave mango margaritas and crispy chicken quesadilla are my go to. My family has been going there even before I was born. I also love Cabo Cantina so that would most likely be the last stop of the night. I don’t have many hang out spots but I love to eat so it’s mainly going to be a food adventure and the spots depend on the day of the week so this would be an ideal Saturday and with skipping breakfast because I order a lot from surf and soul. Lol.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My auntie has always influenced me. She has an understanding of life and growth. No matter what life hands her she always finds a way no matter how long it takes to accomplish her goals.
