We had the good fortune of connecting with Lauren Earnest and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lauren, what do you want your legacy to be?
The mission of my business and the legacy I want to leave behind is to see females flourish by helping them cultivate confidence, joy, and connection in their lives. When I first became a mom I had a really hard time – I questioned my every move and felt like I was doing it all wrong. I truly leaned into the affirming words of others and positive self-talk to build my confidence as a new mom. I continue to lean into my tribe of women for support, and my goal is to provide opportunities to encourage and support women and our youth. I want people to remember me as someone who encourages and comes alongside others. In a world of constant information, advice and criticism, I want to be the friend that simply says “I see you, I love you, I am here.”

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I create jewelry for women and littles and I am most known for my matching mother-daughter bracelets. I use only gold-filled chains, links and findings, so they are higher quality and will not tarnish or irritate your skin (which is obviously very different from traditional children’s jewelry). The beads and other materials I use are always semi-precious stones or earth elements which have healing properties and special meaning. Each piece has a name and includes a note of affirmation based off of the properties of the materials. For example, our best selling piece the “Motherhood Bracelet” is made with rose quartz which is known to increase feelings of unconditional love, so the affirmation included is “I am filled with unconditional love.” My customers love buying my jewelry as gifts for others to show they care and give something that is meaningful and precious. What I am most proud about is our commitment to give back. Every time you purchase something from my shop, 10% is donated to a non-profit called Carry the Future. Carry the Future got its name from donating baby carriers to refugee women, and is doing some amazing work by filling in gaps and providing necessities to refugee women and their families.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Ohh so many good places! I am a north county girl through and through so I don’t leave my 10 mile radius much haha! Activities: Easy hike at Torrey Pines, beach time in Cardiff, walking around the 101 or rail trail in Encinitas, enjoying any of the brewerys that north county has to offer!
Favorite restaurants: Coffee Coffee for breakfast, Union for brunch, The Bier Garden for lunch, Tony’s Jacal for dinner.
Favorite places to grab a drink: Priority Public House, Solterra, Barrel Republic.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to dedicate this shoutout to my mom. She is not only the ultimate role model when it comes to motherhood (she is the kindest, most patient, loving person there ever was), but she is also a fellow creative and inspiration. She is a very talented seamstress – she made her own wedding dress, my prom dresses growing up, and a lot of my clothing as a child. She eventually struck out on her own when I was a teen and started her own successful handbag business. She offered a lot of support and encouragement when I first started my business, and in her true fashion she was my first paying customer!
