We had the good fortune of connecting with Laura Novack and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Laura, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I think the root of the success of my business comes from genuinely wanting to help people. Feeling that I’m contributing to the health and happiness of those around me is what makes me tic and quite frankly I would do it for free. As a personal trainer I try to really understand the individual in front me; what motivates them, what scares them and what my role is in getting them where they want to be.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a personal trainer and have been for the past 14 years.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I was blessed to grow up in a family where I was able to explore my passions without pressure to live up to anyone’s expectations but my own. My dad especially encouraged me, his youngest daughter, to incorporate my strength and athletic abilities into my self image from an early age. While teaching me rock climbing, snowboarding, Ice climbing and kayaking, I never remember him scaring me or letting me doubt myself. His messaging was more that this was a difficult trek/skill and I needed to focus, but never doubted my ability. I credit his attitude to my confidence in my own and other peoples’ strength and ability.
