We had the good fortune of connecting with LaTanya Morris and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi LaTanya, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The goal has always been generational wealth and I knew that this could not be accomplished in my then position as a PA-C. So I started my own business because I wanted to gain more control of my own destiny and leave a legacy for my family.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am the founder of The V Doctor Natural Feminine Care. We offer women education and alternative Natural options for safe and effective Feminine Care. We are different from other brands as our focus is on educating women on their own intimate care. The journey of this business was simple but it was certainly not easy. There were a lot of challenges along the way, especially with advertising as vaginal care is a taboo topic, yet something that certainly needs to be addressed. I’ve learned so many things along the way but the ultimate thing is that anyone can do this, there is no right time to begin, you just start where you are with what you have and take the next best step when you feel stuck. I’d like for people to know that this journey is bigger than me or my legacy but it’s for everyone, for those that didn’t think it was possible to turn negatives into positives, for those that have self doubt and trouble believing in themselves. I just want people to use my story as an example that anyone can do it.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We are definitely downtown all week!! Daley Park, the Fountain, the Museums, North Ave Beach. We definitely have to have chicago style pizza, visit a good steak house, and some ice cream shops! I also love being up north, it’s vibrant, it’s fun and the people are wonderful!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to thank my first business, Worldventures, for the personal development that I received and all the people involved. I would also like to thank Keenan, my mentor and founder of 7 figure Gang. Also would love to thank my family, my sisters especially, Toiya and Keela for their support and belief in me from the beginning and my son John for simply being my favorite little person.
