We had the good fortune of connecting with Kerry Glass and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kerry, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
One of my favorite quotes in regards to work and following your dreams is, “Never give up on a dream because of the time it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyway.” – Earl Nightingale What I like about this quote is, it’s true! Don’t be discouraged from pursuing something that you really want in life because of how hard it may appear to be to obtain or the time that it will take. Follow your dreams relentlessly as the time will pass anyway. You will thank yourself later.

Put simply, my insane drive and work ethic is what has helped set me apart and help put me where I’m at today. Like Thomas Jefferson said, “I find that the harder I work, the more luck I seem to have.” or here’s another cliche work quote for you, “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard”. I find this to be true as I know I may not be the most naturally talented DJ or music producer out there but it’s undeniable that my relentless hard work and never giving up is 100% what I contribute my success to.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Considering that COVID is in full effect and California is basically in full lock-down mode, my idea of a good time now is not the same as it was about 9 months ago. I’ve been finding myself outside and in nature a lot more and I love it. Scenic, gorgeous hikes and breathtaking views are my new jam. Take a road trip and get lost in one of our amazing National Parks – it’s something that you will never forget or regret. Outside of that, there are always sketchy things to get into in Mexico.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to shoutout several different people/organizations that have helped me along the way. First, I have to give a shout out to Freddie Harb and Troy Gilmore at Sleeping Giant Music for giving me a chance when I first moved to San Diego. Working with those guys taught me a lot and helped me get my footing when I first moved to San Diego over 5 years ago. Freddie was a great mentor to me! Another person that has helped me out is AROCK Castillo of BPM Supreme. When I first started working at BPM Supreme, I had no idea how much working on the inside of the music industry would help me further my music career. Working in Artist Relations for the digital record pool and now as an exclusive music editor has connected me with thousands of DJs and Artists across the country, it truly helped fuel my passion for music and has been an unbelievable experience that I owe all to AROCK and BPM Supreme. Beyond that, I would have to thank my family and girlfriend for tolerating the long (sometimes annoying) hours. Without their support, none of this would’ve ever been possible.
I’ll have to send some photos in a separate email
