Meet Katherine Wong | Orthodontist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Katherine Wong and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Katherine, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
I am inspired by kids! The way they live their lives carefree, without inhibitions, in the pursuit of happiness. It is always a goal of mine to find joy and live in the present. As an adult it can be so easy to get caught up on what chore needs to be completed next and forget to appreciate the small moments in between. Being around kids always reminds me to come back to the present and HAVE FUN! I try to bring this philosophy in to work every day. I want to take excellent care of my patients and be a positive light in their day.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Our office is a boutique orthodontic practice that focuses on providing high quality results that are custom tailored to each individual. We pride ourselves on the patient-centered experience that we provide, making sure that each of our patient’s needs are met at each appointment. This extends beyond just straightening teeth. We make sure that our patients feel comfortable the moment they enter our doors, and leave with a big smile. This is our mission.

I am so thankful for the work family we have created. I have learned that I cannot do it all on my own, and La Jolla Village Orthodontics would be nothing without our wonderful team.

We continue to educate ourselves, reflect on our work, and collaborate as a team to improve the orthodontic experience for our patients. We will always strive to provide the next level of orthodontic care.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Favorite sites and activities: Torrey Pines hike, Del Mar dog beach, wine tasting in Temecula, Duffy boats in the bay, Padre’s game, ocncert at the Rady’s shell, La Jolla children’s pool and bon fire at the shores, Balboa park museums. Favorite restaurants: Seneca, Animae, Campfire, The Taco Stand

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shoutout to my parents! Together, they provided me with a balance of nurturing support and tough love that equipped me with the self confidence and drive to pursue my goals. Whether that goal was something small like learning to bake a cake or large like becoming an orthodontist, they have always encouraged me to work hard and never give up.
