We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica Anvar and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jessica, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
Consumers’ rights! One of our primary goals and objective over the past decade has been to build consumer awareness about their lemon law rights in the state of California. In California, consumers currently have strong lemon law rights if they purchased or leased a vehicle that turns out to be a lemon. The problem is that far too many consumers are still unaware that they may be entitled to a refund or cash compensation as a result of purchasing or leasing a lemon. Additionally, if the consumers prevail, they are entitled to have the auto manufacturer pay for their reasonable attorney fees and costs. This makes pursuing a lemon law claim economically feasible for consumers as they do not come out of pocket for our representation.

During the last decade, our firm, the Lemon Law Experts, has helped thousands of consumers recover millions of dollars in refunds and cash compensation for their defective vehicles. We are a team of lemon law experts fighting for the rights of consumers against tough, well-funded major manufacturers. Every day our law firm gives consumers a voice, affirms their rights, and advocates for results that make a difference in their lives.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We became one of the top law firms in our niche with a hustle and grind mentality. No night is too late, no morning is too early. We get more done in less time to advance our position and move the proverbial ball down the field. Early on we focused on nurturing our marketing and advertising so we would have a steady stream of clients in the future. We also invested in growing a team of dedicated and hard-working individuals, individuals who are committed to the cause and who have the right intentions.

This was at times a painful process that included dozens of consultants, vendors, experts and seminars over a decade. It’s not something you can outsource…to be at the top of the game you have to know it yourself. Know your metrics, drill down in analytics, dive into reports and calculate the effectiveness of various ad sources to know where to save and where to spend more.

One of my favorite motivational quotes is… “The dream is free but the hustle is sold separately.” The dream got me started, but it took years of hustle, trial and error, success and failure, highs and lows, late nights and early mornings to get to the top. To make it, you have to summon the grit to carry on when things get tough and embrace a resilient mindset when faced with adversity. Nothing great ever came easy…. The few things that have proven to be tried and true are extreme discipline, personal sacrifice, and militant dedication. With these three things, anything is possible.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Los Angeles has much to offer. Here’s what a best-time-ever itinerary to Los Angeles would look like for me…

Kick off a day with a morning by-donation session at Brian Kest’s Power Yoga in Santa Monica and then head to breakfast at Shutters on the Beach. An alternative morning would be to start off the day with a workout at the Santa Monica steps and organic juices from Kreation.

Ride a couple of beach cruisers south to see the sights on the Venice Strand and Venice Farmer’s Market. Take a visit to the Lake Shrine off Sunset Blvd and PCH to take in nature, peace, and tranquility. Visit the Getty Museum atop the 405 for the best views and treasures LA has to offer.

Afternoon shopping at Century City Mall followed by grabbing a bite at Javier’s for one of the best jalapeño margaritas in town or the amazing Italian market, Eataly.

Shove off from the Marina Del Rey harbor and motor south to R-10 Restaurant in the Redondo Beach harbor for delicious seaside gastropub fare. Soak in the Los Angeles sun by sailing back up the coast to Malibu and back into the Marina early afternoon.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The entire team at the Lemon Law Experts. I am a firm believer that it takes a village to run a successful business. A village of talented, dedicated, and hard-working individuals coming together and working together to achieve the common goal of success for our clients.

I am grateful and thankful for the village that makes up our team at the Lemon Law Experts. Our success is not the result of any one individual…. Rather, our success is the result of the collective, of our team of like-minded individuals all of whom have a passion for advocating for consumer rights.
