We had the good fortune of connecting with Jennie Hamilton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jennie, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
We needed arts & culture, therefore, we needed a theatre in our community.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am an actress, playwright, director, retired school teacher, finished high school & college after I got married and had three children. The journey wasn’t easy; many times I was tempted to give up, but had to keep reminding myself that I am not a quitter. Today, I am so glad and thankful that I hung in there.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take my friend to the “Red Lobster” or to CoCos, depending on how my money was running at the time of her visit. After the meal, I would take her to Community Actors Theatre to see a show, if one was running at that time., or maybe Seaport Village, where the atmosphere is always refreshing.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Cat’s wonderful Board of Directors! They are very dedicated, and work together real well as a team.
