Today we’re excited to be connecting with Jeff Lavin again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.

Jeff , thanks for joining us again. Just to level set a bit for folks who may have missed our last interview together, can you briefly introduce yourself?
I’m Jeff Lavin, a high-performance business coach, private equity professional, and founder of the Free Range Human Community. My work revolves around empowering individuals and businesses to unlock their potential and achieve extraordinary results. Whether it’s through strategic capital raises, scaling ventures while ensuring 100% equity retention, or inspiring others to embrace the Adventurepreneur lifestyle, my mission is to lead by example.

My journey has been anything but conventional. From being a pro athlete to building and scaling businesses, I’ve navigated challenges that have shaped me into a problem solver and a risk-taker. What sets me apart is my ability to combine strategic financial acumen with a passion for adventure, creating a unique approach that resonates with those looking to push their boundaries both professionally and personally.

Highlights of my journey include hosting transformative ‘Kick A$$’ retreats, structuring complex investment deals with Legacy Capital Ventures, and leading a community of free-thinkers and doers who aren’t afraid to chart their own paths. My approach is direct, motivating, and always focused on solutions, helping others find flow and fulfillment in their work and lives.

Ultimately, I’m here to inspire others to take action, face their fears, and build a life they’re proud of whether in business, relationships, or personal growth.

Great, so let’s jump into an update on what you have been up to since we last spoke. What can you share with us?
Since our last conversation, life and work have evolved in incredible ways. I made the significant decision to exit my coaching business and join Pacific Capital Partners in Beverly Hills as a Senior Partner. This role has enabled me to focus on high level capital raises and structuring innovative deals that empower business owners to scale while retaining 100% equity a truly transformative approach. Additionally, I’ve taken on the role of Managing Director at Legacy Capital Ventures, where I lead bespoke investment designs and securities, tailoring strategies that align with our clients’ unique goals and visions.

Beyond these roles, I’ve expanded my influence by serving as a board advisor and director for multiple companies and contributing to a university’s entrepreneurial program. These opportunities allow me to guide and mentor both established businesses and the next generation of entrepreneurs, creating meaningful and lasting impact.

The good? Joining Pacific Capital Partners and stepping into leadership at Legacy Capital Ventures have provided incredible opportunities to work on larger-scale projects with brilliant, forward-thinking teams. My advisory and directorial roles have also broadened my perspective and given me a platform to influence industries at a higher level.

The bad? Transitioning out of coaching and balancing these new responsibilities has been a challenge. Adjusting to this next chapter has required focus and intentionality, but the rewards have far outweighed the hurdles.

The fun? I’ve kept my adventurous side alive by hosting ‘Kick A$$’ retreats and leading the Free Range Human Project, encouraging others to push boundaries and achieve flow. Personally, I’ve continued to prioritize health and performance, staying active outdoors and in the gym to ensure I’m at my best.

Looking ahead, I’m excited to further grow my impact through Pacific Capital Partners and Legacy Capital Ventures, while continuing to inspire and empower others through my board roles and entrepreneurial mentorship. Life is constantly evolving, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to make a difference while enjoying every step of the journey.

When you look back on your life, what are three things you expect to be proud of?
When I look back on my life, I expect to be proud of three key things:

Empowering Others to Succeed
Whether through my work at Pacific Capital Partners, Legacy Capital Ventures, or the Free Range Human Community, I’ve had the privilege of helping countless individuals and businesses unlock their potential. Watching others achieve their goalswhether it’s scaling a business, securing financial freedom, or stepping into their full power—has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my journey.

Living Authentically and Fearlessly
I’ve never been one to take the conventional path. From my days as a pro athlete to becoming an adventurepreneur, I’ve leaned into life’s challenges and opportunities with courage and authenticity. I’ll be proud of the risks I’ve taken, the adventures I’ve pursued, and the way I’ve stayed true to my values, even when the road was tough.
Creating a Legacy of Impact

Beyond business and adventure, I hope to leave behind a legacy of positive impact. Whether through my mentoring roles, my retreats, or simply inspiring others to break free from societal norms and live life on their own terms. Building something meaningful, helping people realize their dreams, and leaving the world a little better than I found it are things I’ll carry immense pride in.
