Meet Geli Taase

We had the good fortune of connecting with Geli Taase and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Geli, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I’ve always loved creating videos and slideshows to share with my family. I was a content creator before being a “content creator” was even a thing. For a while, I lost touch with it, but then social media came along, and I saw it becoming a creative outlet. People were sharing beautiful, story-driven videos about their lives, and I knew I wanted to do something similar. But at that time, it didn’t seem like a realistic path.

It wasn’t until recently that I realized my calling and career path didn’t even exist until the 2010s. Being an influencer wasn’t a job; spending time on social media wasn’t something you could get paid for. But today, it is. So, I started an account to use as my creative outlet and as a path toward being an influencer. I made some cute, sentimental videos, some funny parenting videos—all videos that I felt good about, even if they didn’t pick up right away.

As I dug deeper into the social media industry, I came across videos of moms talking about digital marketing and selling courses. I bought a course on selling courses, and it ended up being the breakthrough I needed to fully commit to content creation. From there, though, I hit another roadblock. So, I hired an incredible coach who helped me brainstorm different ways to make my dreams happen. One of those ideas became Your Legacy Project.

With Your Legacy Project, I started creating videos for seniors and their families. It serves such a beautiful purpose, capturing stories that can be cherished for generations. I’m pursuing this alongside my influencer work, and, in a perfect world, I would find a way to combine the two. I want to create content around the process of collecting these stories, and I’d love to share those stories themselves.

Right now, I’m working on finding a sponsor or investor to help bring this project to its full potential.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Right now, I offer services in legacy projects, content creation, and influencer marketing. This is a one-person operation, and I do it because I genuinely love it—not because I have to. Every project I deliver, whether it’s a piece of content or a legacy video, is made with respect, honor, and dignity… even if it’s something funny! I’m excited to support small businesses with their marketing and brand awareness, helping them see their stories, products, or brands in a fresh light. At the end of the day, I’m here to create joy.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If we’re in Temecula, I’d start by booking an amazing Airbnb where we could hang out and relax. We’d probably hit up a nearby escape room for a fun challenge, then head to Old Town for dinner at Kalaveras. Great food and a cool atmosphere—can’t beat it.

If we’re down in Vista/Oceanside, it’s all about our hometown spots. We’d hit the beach, grab some In-N-Out, and find a local park with a good view to just chill. We’d also check out some of the newer restaurants near the Oceanside Pier to see what’s fresh and exciting in town.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to shout out my amazing coach, Liz Faraimo. She came into my life right when I needed guidance—the big sister I needed at exactly the right time. Liz has been instrumental in helping me grow, pushing me to really get clear on my path and goals. Her authentic, strong, and loving demeanor is everything you could want in a coach. She helped me see who I am and who I want to be, and I couldn’t thank her enough for that.
