We had the good fortune of connecting with Francesca Scognamiglio and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Francesca, what do you attribute your success to?
The success behind my brand comes down to experience, passion, and commitment. With nearly two decades in the industry, I’ve dedicated myself to mastering my craft through continuous education and hands-on experience. I treat every client as if I were the one laying on that bed. I take their beauty seriously and put my full effort into making them feel confident, comfortable, and naturally beautiful without ever looking overdone.

What has truly set me apart is my consistency in being a trustworthy professional. I don’t just perform services; I invest hundreds of hours into studying, perfecting, and understanding every aspect of my work before offering it to my clients. My deep knowledge, combined with my ability to truly listen and understand each client’s needs, has been the foundation of my success.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a Permanent Makeup artist, educator, and holistic skin coach, and every day, I feel incredibly grateful to do what I love, helping people enhance their natural beauty while feeling confident in their own skin. Whether it’s creating perfectly tailored brows, defining lips, or enhancing the eyes with subtle, natural looking eyeliner, my goal is always to complement each client’s unique features rather than follow passing trends. Beyond permanent makeup, I am also deeply passionate about skincare, working alongside a holistic MD to address the root causes of skin conditions and promote true skin health from the inside out.

What sets me apart is my ability to listen and truly understand my clients’ needs. I truly care about them. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach; every face is unique, and every treatment I perform is customized to enhance natural beauty, not overpower it. My deep knowledge of color theory and the science behind pigments has allowed me to master the art of permanent makeup in a way that few artists have, making me one of the most knowledgeable in the industry.

Was the journey easy? No, not at all. But my passion and commitment have always been my driving force. I’ve never been motivated by money. What fuels me is the moment my clients look in the mirror and smile because they feel like the best version of themselves.

Along the way, I’ve learned that perfection is an illusion, but growth is constant. Every challenge, every failure, every moment of doubt has only pushed me to learn more and become better. The key to success isn’t avoiding failure. it’s getting up every single time and pushing forward with even more determination.

To anyone out there with a dream: no one will do it for you. You have to want it, put in the work, and never stop learning. When you think you know it all, dig deeper, because there’s always more to discover. True mastery comes from an endless pursuit of knowledge and an unwavering commitment to your craft. You’ve got what it takes, but it will take everything you’ve got to make it happen.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well, I might not be the best person for a wild night out—I’m definitely not a party person! But as a true Italian, I love cooking at home, and I make the BEST pizza from scratch with my own hands. So, if my Italian friends were visiting, I’d definitely start the trip with a homemade pizza night, just to give them a taste of something truly authentic before we explore.

I would start with a relaxing beach day in Laguna Beach, one of the most beautiful spots in Orange County. Crystal-clear waters, coves to explore, and a great spot to soak up the California sun. For lunch, i would take them to The Deck, right on the sand, with fresh seafood and amazing ocean views.

Of course, You can’t visit without doing some of the classic Los Angeles spots! We’d start with a drive up to Griffith Observatory for the iconic view of the city and the Hollywood Sign. Then, a stop at Larchmont Village for some coffee and pastries at République.

Following, Rodeo Drive, a must (even if just to window shop!) and then walk down Santa Monica Pier to enjoy the ocean breeze. For dinner, Bestia in Downtown LA would be perfect—some of the best Italian food in the city!

No trip to OC is complete without a little magic! If they’re up for it, we’d spend the day at Disneyland and California Adventure, riding everything we can and eating our way through the parks.

Since I’m into holistic wellness, I’d take them for a spa and wellness day! A visit to Glen Ivy Hot Springs would be a must, soaking in mineral baths and relaxing. Then, we’d head to South Coast Plaza for some shopping at one of the best luxury malls in the country.

A great dinner at Mastro’s Ocean Club in Newport Beach for incredible steak and seafood! I’m drooling now!

Before they leave, another must do, a relaxing walk at Balboa Island, and just enjoy the charm of Newport Beach. And of course, for the final night, we’d have another homemade pizza night, because nothing beats homemade Italian food, good wine, and great company.

By the end of the week, I’m sure they’d love California—but they’d probably admit that my pizza was still the highlight!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My biggest shoutout goes to my husband and business partner, who has been my greatest supporter from the very beginning. As an immigrant living in the U.S. for the past 10 years, the journey of expanding my business here was not always easy. But he was the one who believed in me the most, encouraging me to take the leap and bring my skills and expertise to a new market. His unwavering support, belief in my potential, and push to keep growing have played a huge role in my success. I couldn’t have done it without him, and I’m grateful every day for his partnership in both life and business.
