Meet Eva Goulette | Shamanic Practitioner and Founder of Dancing Jaguar’s Spirit Camp

We had the good fortune of connecting with Eva Goulette and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Eva, how does your business help the community?
Dancing Jaguar Inspirations teaches children how to connect to their inner world. We live in a modern society that places value on nurturing the mind and body. Dancing Jaguar’s Spirit Camp teaches children how to nurture their hearts and spirit.
We like to tell children that when they are at school, they are nurturing their minds; when they play sports they are nurturing their bodies; and when they attend Spirit Camp, they are nurturing their spirit — that wonderful essence that makes each child a unique, beautiful individual.
When children understand that we are made up of mind, body, and spirit, they understand the importance of nurturing all aspects of who we are. They learn self-compassion, and self-regulation techniques, and develop self-confidence in their ability to show up in the world embracing their authentic selves.
Children learn how to tap into their higher wisdom so they can trust their ability to look within for answers and not rely on searching outside themselves for answers (asking others). They experience a deeper sense of connection and confidence in their ability to trust their intuition.
We also teach children how to connect to the natural world energetically. They become aware of their energetic connection to trees, plants, boulders, animals, etc. This instills a reverence for Mother Earth and all of her inhabitants, which helps them understand that what we do to one thing impacts the rest of life.
Children who attend Dancing Jaguar’s Spirit Camp create a wisdom toolbox for life and will grow up with an awareness of themselves and the world around them. We have the opportunity to heal the world one child at a time and shift the consciousness of our planet by sharing this unique program with children around the world.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am most proud of how the children and their parents respond to Spirit Camp. Children are thriving, excited, and inspired about what they are learning about themselves, who they are, and how to BE! Most summer camps teach kids how to DO things, while Spirit Camp teaches them how to BE.
Once my shamanic teacher planted the seed of Spirit Camp for me, I began to receive downloads of information during my sleep that showed me how to share metaphysical and spiritual concepts and tools with children. I shared the material as I received it, and over time, Spirit Camp became a full 30-hour program.
Parents and other adults saw the growth and excitement in children and asked me to create a Teacher Training program so they could teach the children in their communities. The Teacher Training program evolved into an online platform and currently, I have certified over 75 teachers all over North America.
There are two lessons I have learned along the way. The first is that I can’t do it alone. I need to ask for help when I am overwhelmed or don’t know how to do something. The second lesson is that I am not in charge so I need to always keep my ego in check. Spirit leads the way. Spirit Camp is a program that has the power to heal the world one child at a time and I am only the messenger.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I live an hour from the coast of Maine. I would take my friend to one of the small coastal fishing villages, show her the harbor, tell her about the fishing community, show her lobster traps and buoys, and perhaps even purchase lobster directly off the boat from the fishermen.
We’d take the mail boat off the coast to visit the islands in the bay, take in the salt air, be entertained by the seals in the bay, and be inspired by the many beautiful lighthouses scattered about on the islands.
We would drive to the top of Cadillac Mountain, in Acadia National Park, and view the hundreds of magnificent islands spotting the coast.
After the coast, we’d head to the mountains, hike one of the hundreds of trails, find a stream to rest beside, and take in the peace and quiet of nature.
We’d spend some downtime giving each other readings with tarot or oracle cards and have deep philosophical conversations about life, spirituality, our own healing processes, and where we are at in terms of goals and dreams.
I’m pretty low-key, so loud concerts, big crowds, and major sports events are not things I gravitate towards. My friend and I would share quality time, scenic views in nature, and deep conversations.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Dory Cote, my shamanic teacher, is the person who opened my eyes to the exciting and fulfilling career I could have if I focused on mentoring children. She even mentioned the name “Spirit Camp”.
