We had the good fortune of connecting with Elisa Alves and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Elisa, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
When I first started my business balance went out the window If I’m completely honest. It was like I went from the 9-5 matrix, which I wanted to escape for freedom, but plugged into another matrix where I was actually working all hours non-stop. I went all in on my business- stopped dating, rarely saw my friends, cut down my gym routine. I was stuck in the masculine mindset of doing doing doing trying to prove my worth to succeed. I was constantly fighting myself because my inner pleasure queen created this business for freedom, expansion, play, while my inner boss babe just wanted to succeed. After a few months of getting no where with this…. I tuned back to the desires of my heart I asked what was really in alignment and how I wanted to define success. I started to find more of a balance which meant working from my fav beach cafe while drinking hard kombucha not working on weekends, dating again only launching courses that excited my soul & working with clients that light me the eff up and taking my own advice that pleasure truly is the gateway to abundance. and now that I’ve found a better balance — my bank account is better too 😉

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m a Manifestation + Sacred Sexuality Coach. What I’m most excited about is my recent transition into teaching women all about the powers of orgasmic energy and sexuality as the path to liberation, purpose & abundance. From creating from pure pleasure + desire I had my most aligned and abundant launch yet with my program Orgasmic Manifestation Magic. Where I teach women channel their sexual energy to create their dream life. What sets me a part from others is that I use pleasure as a way for women to shift their energy. I think what’s missing in the transformation space and why people get stuck in habits, is you can have all the knowledge in the world, but if you don’t integrate it through the body, nothing changes. I believe that our body is our subconscious mind, it’s always keeping score. Often why we stay stuck is we have unprocessed trapped emotions stuck in our body that is keeping us living in the past always manifesting what we’ve always gotten. By moving energy through pleasure and teaching the women emotional intelligence they are able to collapse timelines and completely change their lives in less than 12 weeks. Almost all the women in my program have doubled their income since joining and go from single to in love with themselves, their partners, and life. Most of them have also started their own soul aligned business as well or transitioned into a new job with more fulfillment and pay. I got where I am today in business through embodying what I teach about pleasure. I truly believe that a lot of our denser emotions get stuck in our lower portion of our bodies. Once I started releasing the shame I had around my sexuality, expression and money I started receiving more abundance and clients. Theres defiantly been hands full of challenges— but entrepreneurship has taught me resiliency and how to be with all of my emotions. I used to only want to feel high vibe emotions— but now I realize that being with all my emotions, failure ,rejection ect is actually been the key to my success. When you’re not afraid to feel anything and everything life throws you, you realize you’re invisible and that the challenges are FOR you to take your power back. I truly believe we are all here to realize how limitless we are when we let go of our BS stories and that means taking back our power from anything that keeps us from our source. pleasure is the gateway to abundance. and not just in a sensual way– but always following your heart, living for your highest excitement and truly living for your own desires not anyone else’s.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Love this–my bestie is visiting soon and I’m planning on taking her to a nice brunch at Snooze, get boozy with some mimosas. and then once we have a nice buzz– go thrift shopping at the stores on 5th in Hillcrest. Later on we might go to whole foods and then have a picnic in Balboa or get a cheese board at Panama 66- I love eating in the sculpture court and being surrounded by nature and art over a glass of wine and a good conversation. I love going to OB and going to OB Surf Lodge for a nice happy hour & ocean view. and I love eating at one of the new hip restaurants in little Italy.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
mmm I love this question — I’m a huge believer in we go farther together & know my success has been fueled by the love and support of my community. One of the things that gives me strength to keep going is the reminder that I have such amazing friends and family who see me to my fullest potential and hold me to my greatness. Would love to shoutout… My mom for always being my biggest fan & always encouraging me to have every experience I desire without judgement or her own agenda. Which is the BEST gift a parent could ever give. My first coach Sophie Kessner who has been the biggest mirror of growth, expansion, abundance and leading a soul lead business where I make the rules. My best friend Bren who was always trickling ideas of entrepreneurship into my ear and telling me that people would pay me for the amount of happiness I’ve cultivated in my life. lollll My coach Juliana Garcia for helping me find my voice, empowering me to do hard things with grace and ease & always being a reminder of how elegant vulnerability will make you abundant AF My day one bestie Bri, who has always believed in my wildest dreams and seen me so fully. & most importantly my clients and community who inspire me to show up everyday & am so grateful to lead them back to deeper levels of intimacy, authenticity & truth of their soul.
