We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr Shannon Irvine and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr Shannon, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The biggest thought was that entrepreneurs needed the solution to building a mindset that can be successful the right way. Limiting beliefs, imposter syndrome, overwhelm, procrastination & perfectionism stop amazing people from building the business of their dreams. My Neurocoaching model ™️ Gives them the GPS to how their brain wires success and how to neutralize and erase those brain based blocks so that they can flip their brains success switch on. I knew this method needed to get in the hands of as many entrepreneurs as possible so they could see their dreams come to life.
What should our readers know about your business?
Epic Success served people two ways. First we help entrepreneurs learn how to harness the power of their brain to flip their own success switch on – teaching and coaching with them through the NeuroCoaching model of success – which is a brain based science backed method to building success pathways and removing neural networks in the brain that have broken habits and limiting beliefs. Second – We founded the NeuroCoaching Certification ™️ Where those who are coaches (or want to become a coach the right way) can learn the NeuroCoaching model of transformation so that they can serve their clients this source & brain based transformation. I am so proud that this method is able to reach and support so many Entrepreneurs build their dream businesses and lives. I love seeing transformed people transform people. It’s the ripple in the pond … In a small way I get to see people’s lives uplevel through the work that these amazing clients and Certified Neurocoaches ™️! It wasn’t easy – in the early days when I n we the model worked for me and I knew my clients would benefit – I also had 1:1 clients that because of the NeuroCoaching model – their businesses exploded. Bringing the business online was like personal development on steroids. I launched over and over and over again to lackluster results until I finally got the message communicated in a way that the Entrepreneur could hear it and know it was the missing piece of the puzzle. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is to make the vision so powerful for others success- that I was compelled to keep going – through the hardest times – because the vision wasn’t for me – it was for the millions of entrepreneurs that were getting stuck playing small only because their brain wasn’t wired for success …. yet!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
San Diego is literally the best place in the world!! As a foodie that loves the ocean – this is heaven! First I would take them to coffee at Lofty Coffee in Encinitas. Then we would grab our boards and go surf down at Swamis. Of course then off to GoodonYa for an amazing breakfast! We would get cleaned up and head down to the San Diego harbor and take a cruise on the Hornblower so they could see just how beautiful San Diego is. After I would take her to lunch at Juniper & Ivy – Richard Blazes restaurant. Then of course I would make sure we took a walk on the beach at Cardiff – since it is the most beautiful beach in San Diego. After the sunset – I would take them to dinner at a local gem in Encinitas – The Craftsman tavern for amazing wine and seriously amazing food. So many amazing places and the people are what make San Diego
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First of all, the support of my husband Micah was pivotal. He always supported my ideas from starting a non profit (MosaicVision.org) 16 years ago to help AIDS orphans or building and perfecting the NeuroCoaching model (which meant supporting me in my PhD in neuropsychology) he always believed in me and the vision. In addition, I have had some key mentors who supported me along the way and helped me keep going when things got hard – Chalene Johnson – James Wedmore – Pat Flynn – and Shanda Sumpter. Chalene supported me in creating the vision abd sticking to growing it. James helped me learn how to get my message and mission out to the online world – Pat showed me how to create superfans as well as a business that I loved to wake up to and Shanda kept me moving past blind spots that could have slowed me down. The Jim Rhone Quote “You are the culmination of the 5 people you spend the most time with” couldn’t be more accurate.
