We had the good fortune of connecting with Devi Adea and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Devi, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Consistency has been a key factor in the success of my brand. I have been doing business for many years, but I have noticed a big shift in my brand since I decided to launch my first podcast, the Spiritual Entrepreneur, in 2016. I believe the success that has come from growing that show is all due to consistently delivering episodes every week and building a loyal relationship with my ideal audience and clients. There is a level of deep trust that is created when we show up for our people consistently and even small actions performed over time consistently, create a huge shift in the trajectory of a business and brand.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is dedicated to raising consciousness on our planet. Spiritual entrepreneurs and inspired leaders hire me to help them to serve humanity in some way through a successful soul-led business and/or media platform. I believe that we are being called as a human species to collectively bring our unique gifts (what I call the voice of your soul) together to evolve our world forward through these unprecedented challenges that we are currently facing globally. The linear, top-down leadership model where we once looked to one person or one group for solutions and answers to problems is no longer adequate to meet our current needs. We are being guided to collectively “spiral up” in consciousness to create the change and solutions that we are needing today. My business is designed to help facilitate this leadership and support those of us feeling this call to more easily access what we need to create this shift through community, new soulful practices, online business models, and media platforms. There are a lot of variables in the life and business equations today that require us to “go within” to the “source” for answers. What used to yield successful results has shifted. We require a different way of doing business than what has been taught to us in most MBA programs. This is where Spiritual Entrepreneurship and Collective Leadership enter. The Spiritual Entrepreneur podcast has been a work of love for me, in sharing this conversation with the world and evolving and expressing the voice of my soul. Our show has been nominated for a Podcast People’s Choice Award in the Spirituality Category and we have showcased many Successful Spiritual Entrepreneurs in our 245 plus episodes. If you’d like to join this conversation, I would love to have you listen in for an episode. Today, you may be feeling like we are living in apocalyptic times with current events. There are days when I have felt that way too, but there is an opportunity here for us to evolve and bring all of our gifts together to awaken to an even more beautiful reality. Let’s build it, together.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Beach, beach and more beach. I LOVE the beautiful beaches in San Diego. With Covid, things may be a little bit different than usual, but the beach and the sunshine are a big part of why I live in San Diego. We’d grab a coffee at the Kona Hut, in Oceanside. my favorite local coffee shop, My husband and I go there for great coffee and community. They know my “regular” order and it is great every time. We’d SUP (Standup Paddleboard) at the Carlsbad Lagoon. Take a Kundalini yoga class or Gong Bath at Communitea Yoga in Oceanside and a hot yoga class at PLAY in Carlsbad. Grab happy hour fish tacos at the Lighthouse restaurant in Oceanside Harbor. Get a great chiropractic adjustment from Dr Ken Graham in Oceanside, after an awesome hike at Torrey Pines Reserve or Calaveras Park. Visit downtown and see the Marina and maybe grab some LIVE Food Yumminess at Cafe Gratitude. Catch a movie at Regal Theatre in Carlsbad. How I love to recline when we take in a show. Go snorkeling at the La Jolla Cove and maybe swim out to and back from the buoy after. Go ocean kayaking out of La Jolla Shores. Make a bonfire one night in Oceanside on the beach. Go Salsa Dancing Downtown. Take a mermaid swimming class at Hotel Del Coronado and grab brunch afterward. Take in a concert in the park in Del Mar and have dinner at Jake’s. Visit the art galleries downtown. Meditate in the Meditation Gardens at SRF (the Self Realization Fellowship) in Encinitas. Play Frisbee at Moonlight beach in Encintas and visit the Lotus Cafe for lunch after doing some in store browsing at SoulScapes. If they have kids, we could go to the Wild Animal Park and take in a safari or visit Legoland. Hit up the Farmer’s Market in Vista and hang out in our beautiful backyard under the palm trees.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to shout out to two of my very favorite Spiritual Entrepreneurs, my mom and my dad, Charlie & George Adams for inspiring me on the journey that I am on today and for being my first mentors in both spirituality and entrepreneurship. I have so many supportive friends, mentors, clients, listeners, teachers, and family. My “icon posse” & my “soul tribe” – you know who you are! I love you so deeply and am so grateful and honored to walk this path with you! While I have learned from so many mentors over the years, I’d like to give a very special shout out to my spiritual teacher, mentor, and Godfather, Swami Shankarananda who has journeyed on ahead of me. Thank you for expanding the light within my soul that illumines my path forward and for showing me who I AM.
