We had the good fortune of connecting with Cynthia Del Valle and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cynthia, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The number-one lesson I’ve learned is that you must be prepared to work hard every day. You may be talented and innovative but if you are not willing to do hard work, you are not going to achieve much. I also believe consistency is key to one’s success. You must be regular, steady and reliable. Only with consistent work will you see results.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I own Social One Marketing, a boutique agency that develops and executes digital strategy & campaigns. I’ve helped business owners build a profitable brand through organic and proven social media strategies so they can make a greater impact and more sales. I’m also a mama, yogi and flatlay junkie who turned my love of social media into a 6-figure business from straight-up scratch.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When my friends are in town we head south for an amazingly picturesque ride to the Valle de Guadalupe Wine Country in Northern Baja California, Mexico. We also always go to my families restaurant Javier’s in La Jolla for a hand shaken margarita -Javier’s is know for its elevated Mexican cuisine, top notch service and exquisite decor. It is my happy place…
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to give a shout out to all co authors from my book project The Edupreneur’s Side Hustle Handbook… Lisa Dunnigan and Tosha Wright @thewrightstuffchics Jen Jones @hellojenjones Michelle Ferré @pocketfulofprimary Kisha Mitchell @bethelightinc Bryce Sizemore @theteachingtexan Kristen Donegan @easyteachingtools Cynthia Frias @followsocialone Eric Crouch @adventureswithmrc This project encouraged me to step outside of my comfort zone and expand my skills – both creatively and in business.
