We had the good fortune of connecting with Cinderella de Groot and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cinderella, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Up to the age of 21, I worked under contract for different organizations. However, waking up daily at 6 AM to an alarm clock, while it is still dark and cold outside I could stand! My body and mind just didn’t seem to agree with that routine, and so, one day, I decided to take control of how to live my daily life and become my own Boss. Since that day I rarely worked for an employer, started several business ventures and travelled around the world with a one way ticket to eventually land in Carlsbad, CA.

My wellness brand Body2Move organically developed throughout the years.
Holistic healthy living and healing, is an important part of my life and I feel that my mission is to guide others towards taking control back over their lives and health. And so, I created Relaxerice™.

What should our readers know about your business?
In different formats I like to offer people guidance in their transformation towards better health and happiness. This I believe, can be achieved for example by reaching a state of deep relaxation to activate our self healing abilities. Not everything needs to be hard work!

  1. Relaxercise™ Sessions; With different mind and body relaxation techniques, we stretch, breathe, heal, relax, meditate, and rejuvenate to become more productive, boost our immune system, and lower our stress levels to increase our health and happiness.
  2. Relaxerice™ Wellness Transformation Course; This course exists out of 3 topics: Stress Relief, Diet&Detox and Self-Healing Methods. The course includes valuable theory, quiz, self reflection, pre-recorded exercise videos and meditations.
  3. Relaxercise™ Energetic Healing Massages; This is done at your location. Swedish style massage combined with Reiki/Pranic Healing to achieve healing of the physical and emotional body.
  4. Relaxerice™ Transform your body in 30 day-program; With guidance of me, meal plans, shopping lists, accountability group and the right supplements, I like to give people the option to detox, loose weight, get rid of body aches and feel comfortable in their own skin.

Covid-19 made me speed up the process of expanding my brand and offerings, specially since in person classes were not allowed any longer. In California we are all busy, working hard and playing hard. Going through transformation doesn’t need to be time-consuming, boring or difficult. Instead they can be time-efficient, flexible and relaxed!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Day 1. Torrey Pines State-park and beach
Day 2 Cafe and Nightclub Sevilla for tapas and salsa dancing
Day 3 Sunset Cliffs segway tour
Day 4 Del Mar fairground
Day 5 Hike at Monserat Mountain and stroll around the village in Fallbrook and have a ‘avocado’ lunch at one of the restaurants
Day 6 Visit Old Town San Diego to dive into the history and get a taste of the Mexican food at one of the restaurants.
Day 7 Go for a hike to Lowers surf beach in San Onofre and enjoy a day on the beach with surf

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My father Cor de Groot, for always letting me follow my heart and passion, not pushing me into following his footsteps or his beliefs on how to live life. To teach me how to be careful and cautious, but openminded. My mother Ann Kooijman, for her unconditional support and guidance on all levels of life, but mostly showing me what it is to be a ‘Lightworker’, that we are more than just our physical body and show me the art of healing.
