We had the good fortune of connecting with Cat Warren and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cat, what do you attribute your success to?
My core values are the foundation of my success:: 1) inspiring others, 2) accentuating & creating art, and 3) writing the story. I want to artistically capture the essence of women, specifically those who see the beauty and appreciation that arise from life’s challenges and lessons. By eloquently capturing their essence, I can help them inspire those closest to them to create their own story. Sometimes we need inspiration and courage from others to create the life we truly desire.
What should our readers know about your business?
I specialize in fine-art portraiture and boudoir photography; however, I differ from other photographers, as I accentuate and draw out the complexities and layers of a client. There’s beauty behind mystery…what we can see, and most certainly…what we cannot see.
Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
If my best friend were visiting the area, I’d take her somewhere completely opposite of where she thinks she would want to go. If she so badly wanted to set out to the city in the evening, I’d take her to the desert Why? Because it’s different. And even if she hated the entire trip, she’d still always remember that one time…! But she wouldn’t hate the trip. Why? Because we’d have no distractions, except nature and each others’ company…while, of course, enjoying a glass of wine, whether by the pool at a boutique hotel in the middle of no where, or by a campfire near our tent…in the middle of no where. Again, it’s all about doing something different, as these are the experiences we never seem to forget.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First, I would like to thank my good friend, Tcha from Black Queen Photography. It’s so important to have a support group to share your experiences with. And again, it’s all about encouraging and supporting each other through the journey. Second, I highly recommend the book, “Mastery” by Robert Greene. His book provides guidance on realizing your true profession and, essentially, your life’s purpose.
