We had the good fortune of connecting with Brooke Joanna Benlifer and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brooke Joanna, what matters most to you?
Integrity. Everyone’s relationship with food is different, and very often, there is a really deep emotional connection to food. People share a lot with me, and I always make sure to create a safe space for them to work through past issues and limiting beliefs so that they can heal and learn to nourish themselves and achieve and maintain balance with food. A healthy relationship with food trickles down into many other aspects of their lives.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I keep my practice at a size where I can be available every single day for my clients, as often as they need! In this way, they have continual support and real time feedback. We can celebrate accomplishments and make tweaks early on, versus doing damage control at a later point. I am most excited about continuing to witness more and more people come to believe in themselves and in their power to truly transform their health and discover a new happiness. I got to where I am today through years of experience, both in a clinical hospital setting, working with thousands of patients of all ages and demographics, as well as years of counseling individuals from various walks of life. I am constantly learning and keeping up to date on new and emerging science in the field of nutrition and more broadly, in medicine. I keep an open mind and a sense of curiosity and fascination, always! I continue to obtain new certifications such as in personal training, and as both a youth fitness and weight management specialist. I absolutely love what I do. Everyone has gifts to share with the world. One of mine is helping people achieve their greatest health so they can be nourished, and feel strong & joyful!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My clients bring me such joy. Seeing them learn to believe in themselves and thrive is a constant reminder that I was meant to do this work. I am grateful every day!
