We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Camerer-Jiannino and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brittany, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I came up with the idea for my business because I saw a major flaw in the market. When I looked at photographers portfolios and mainstream advertisements, I saw TONS of images of models with the typical model figures. There was not much love for all body types, truly. I knew this needed to change! I wanted to create a brand that actually “walks the walk” and showcases all bodies, because all bodies are beautiful!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art is very specific because I shoot dark and moody. I stand out from others because my portfolio actually shows all body types! We shoot women from all walks of life and all of our clients are just normal everyday women, not models. I am most proud to have built a community of over 35,000 women on Facebook who are also passionate about self-love and confidence. We help empower others through not only the photos we create, but the unique experience that we offer! I went to school for business and marketing and got my Bachelor’s in 2015. At the time I wasn’t sure what path I exactly wanted to take professionally, but knew that I wanted to be an entrepreneur. I don’t have this crazy story that I had to overcome so many obstacles to get where I am today. Once I saw the vision of what I wanted to create, I just went for it, working 15+ hour days 7 days a week for years on end. I would want the world to know the authenticity of our brand. Being a Bella Rosa Beauty means that you have taken the first steps in a self-love journey, with a group of likeminded people who believe you’re perfect the way you are.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am a mom to a 1 year old boy. He is very active and loves to learn and be on the go! We love to spend time at the San Diego Zoo, it is so beautiful and there is so much to be seen! We walk miles and miles and just enjoy the fresh air! We of course spend many of our days at different local beach spots. The weather in San Diego is beautiful and pretty much perfect year round! If my best friend was in town we would absolutely have to squeeze in a little kid-free time and get a massage and/or a tattoo! We love going to good breakfast spots or brunch with a view! If you haven’t tried Eddie V’s in La Jolla, you should! Not only the best view, but the food is incredible!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout would be to my husband, Mike. Bella Rosa is a husband-wife team and without his support, dedication, and drive we would not have this successful brand!
