We had the good fortune of connecting with BLV3D and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi BLV3D, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
“If you want to go fast, go alone; but if you want to go far, go together.” ~ Kenyan proverb. Although you could do it alone, it feels more right to do it together. Experiencing your triumphs and pitfalls is so much more fulfilling with the people you care about.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
We focus on uniting people through music and visual arts both via events and digital gathering. Although we’re new in the scene, our listeners say we are known for our unity and lyricism. Our story and challenges are embedded in our product, the music that we create as a composite of our energy and experiences. Because of this everyone relates to our music by way of their own reality; to really know what sets us apart, come out to a show once the lockdown is over, have a drink and stay for a dance or two
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We think Balboa Park and Sunset Cliffs are must-go-to’s in the city for nature and architecture. The beach is everything here, and truly showing off what SD has to offer in terms of coastal fun is a must – so La Jolla and Del Mar come up as immediate destinations. In the city, once things open up, the live music scene and bars are the best. A night out in Gaslamp while checking out some historical spots along the way seems right for the next excursion. Other than that, it has to be said that San Diego has the greatest vegan food around. Some favorites include NoW Sushi, Loving Hut, Sipz and Evolution – practically a day full of eating has to enter the agenda! Donut Panic or B Street Donuts for the sweet tooth, and a cruise along PCH with some good tunes and trees to finish off the tour.
