We had the good fortune of connecting with Anthony Szol and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anthony, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my brand’s success is having a “Raving Fan Service” In the book, Raving Fans: A Revolutionary Approach To Customer Service by Ken Blanchard and Sheldon Bowles, the authors state “Your customers are only satisfied because their expectations are so low and because no one else is doing better. Just having satisfied customers isn’t good enough anymore. If you really want a booming business, you have to create Raving Fans” I base my business off this philosophy.

Before, during, and after escrow, I am striving to exceed my clients’ expectations and create raving fans. I take pride in making sure an escrow runs smoothly and my clients get a fair deal. This is achieved with proper communication, honesty, and a highly experienced team (The Vanevenhoven Team). Every month, I provide useful information about the real estate market, DIY remodeling/organization projects, personal development (Ie. how to increase your credit score, goal setting, planning for retirement), and much more! If my clients have a goal or need, I refer them to reliable professionals. On top that, The Vanevenhoven Team hosts annual client appreciation events and will drop off quarterly gifts to clients as a thank you for being awesome! My brand is not solely selling real estate. It is about providing information and a service to a client to better their well-being.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

For over 28 years, the Vanevenhoven Real Estate & Investment Group have been highly successful in protecting our client’s equity and real estate interests! Our ongoing desire is to provide the highest caliber of fiduciary real estate service while helping people with any real estate problem or goal.

Real estate has always been a passion of mine and my proudest moment was receiving the Rookie of the Year award my first year as an agent!

Getting to where I am today was not easy. Real estate requires hours of prospecting, relationship building, and learning the market. It is a disheartening career where I will hear more “no” than “yes” In order to overcome my challenges and discouragement, I needed to stick to a schedule, keep doing the marketing activities required, and believe in my raving fan service philosophy.

The biggest lesson I learned in this industry is work for what you believe in, not the money. My passion is to help others reach their goals. Buying or selling real estate can be one of the most stressful process a person may go through. I want to be a resource to people and make the process as painless as possible.

I want the world to know that working with a Real Estate Agent does not have to end with a horror story. I am a real estate professional that takes pride in my clients’ “happy endings” and work for the satisfied feeling of helping a person in need.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Beach day in Coronado and walk around Hotel del Coronado, go to the Fairweather Rooftop Bar for food and a drinks before catching a Padres game, eat dinner at the Edgewater Grill in Seaport Village and head over to the Laugh Factory for a show afterwards (make sure to grab a dole whip before leaving Seaport Village at Seaport Fudge Factory Inc), grab a slice of pizza at Bronx Pizza and then spend the day at the San Diego Zoo, play a round of golf at Torrey Pines!

The opportunities are endless in San Diego. The food, the activities, the people are amazing here!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout goes to my wife, Sydnie. Sydnie, are my rock and I am so thankful for the continuous support you give. I love you!

Shoutout to the Vanevenhoven Real Estate & Investment Group. There is no other team I’d rather be apart of!

Lastly, my business philosophy was formed from the book, Raving Fans: A Revolutionary Approach To Customer Service by Ken Blanchard and Sheldon Bowles. I highly recommend this book!
