We had the good fortune of connecting with Anna Sena and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Anna, what matters most to you?
I have an optimistic view on life, my flow, my driven character, and my passion for nature and the ocean make my artistic works with a really interesting point of view on art and nature. My works of art make the viewer look at and enjoy nature in a way never seen before and give some pieces a second chance – art life. I truly believe that small acts of everyone and a good attitude can change the Planet.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Steeped in creative history from a small age and a family tradition of artisan woodwork, AnnaSenaArt is simply an extension of who I am. With a passionate and ocean-loving family, the coastal wild has settled within me and some of my earliest memories are playing with the sand and listening to the sound of waves, catching the wind and collect shells, driftwood and seeds… Painting comes from my childhood. Since then, I was traveling to several countries, developing my skills in academic and private courses related to Art in general. Looking for additional styles of Art in a way that could enrich my knowledge, I always studied Art with the intention to learn and acquire skills to align the natural gift with my artistic potential for painting. Nature is a valuable source of inspiration. I catch the beauty, the vulnerability but also the transience of nature and life in an enduring work of art. This gives my work a deeper awareness of the temporal existence. Nature gives me awesome materials to work with, which inspires and challenges me constantly.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Love, love, love the south Californian coast. My favorite place it s Crystal Cove State Park – there I can stay hours: walking on the beach, hearing the waves, smell the ocean. Torrey pines state reserve and La Jolla can be the next. I am amazed by the small islands of Californian nature. The best place for the night and dinner can be a Little Italy at San Diego – the best southern atmosphere and restaurants vibes.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am working at the first mission-driven company – Arbonne. Mission of the company – reconnect people to the nature. It is magic – when you working every day with people who thinking the same way as you, who spread happiness and love what they do…
