We had the good fortune of connecting with Angela Quach and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Angela, how do you think about risk?
There is no great reward without great risk. I learned to never settle for less. Every path taken will always have challenges; that’s life! I’ve learned that if I’m going to endure challenges, the reward should be worthy of my dreams. I had to let go of my fear of not succeeding in order to make room for greatness. I had to fill that space within me with hope, faith, and conviction.

When I first started my own business, I can’t even begin to explain how scared I was! All my fears and doubts came crashing in on me, “Would I be successful?” “How will I make money?” “Where do I even start?”. Slowly and surely, I started toward my dreams. I signed up for a local entrepreneurship course and was surrounded by other like-minded entrepreneurs, which felt very empowering. I learned that sometimes you have to do it scared, that your best self is waiting for you on the other side of that fear. And when my company made its first million, I understood why I had to take those risks. Those risks showed me unknowns that needed to be solved, so I could achieve something so greatly unknown from the life I knew.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Favorite restaurant – Herb & Wood for their cocktails and lamb ragu. Woomiak for the best authentic Korean in town Favorite beach – Love skateboarding and playing frisbee at Mission Beach.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a shoutout to my CMO, Yame Spelzon. Sometimes the entrepreneurial journey can feel lonely, but I have been blessed with a right-hand woman that makes startup life fulfilling. She has been supportive since day one. I remember when we won our first small $1000 project and we were jumping up and down, so excited to deliver for our first client. We still get excited about every sale, but it’s that kind of energy that fills my cup.
