We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Adrienne Stewart and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr. Adrienne, can you talk to us about the impact the Covid-19 Crisis has had on your business.
The Covid-19 pandemic has definitely made an impact on the entire world. We send our compassion to all of the families that have lost a loved one, to the front-line workers and to all the people experiencing financial hardships. As a small business, we are and have been committed to serving and supporting our patients – without exception. • We are staying open as an essential healthcare operation to serve (and nourish) our patients and their families. • We are taking extra safety precautions, screening patients, cleaning frequently and following current state and CDC guidelines. • To lower unnecessary exposures, we are offering the option to have virtual appointments on the phone or on video one-on-one with their doctor. • We are offering life coaching for anyone having a difficult time coping with their anxiety or depression, especially during this time of uncertainties. • And a big new service that we are providing is our online Nourish Programs- Practical Steps to Transform Your Health. These online programs are a great at-home experience for anyone looking to improve their health with naturopathic lifestyle tips, including food and drink tips, supplement tips, lab recommendations and mindset tips. • To learn more, visit our medical center’s website at nourishmedicalcenter.com or follow us on social media @nourishmedicalcenter.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Many people come to us feeling frustrated because they’ve experienced one of the following: • Doctors that told them that everything is normal when they don’t feel “normal” • Start and stop diets and protocols that left them feeling frustrated and fed-up • A deep fear that they will always feel sick and there isn’t hope • They have a diagnosis or are taking medications, but no one has really addressed “the why” or root cause This is why we’ve designed online programs to support people with lifestyle tips and naturopathic care in-between doctor visits, no matter what dis-ease they are experiencing. With the fast pace of modern life, it’s easy to become off-balanced and overwhelmed with all the medical information online, so Nourish Programs simplifies the process so people can focus on staying healthy with simple lifestyle tips from trusted sources. Nourish Programs are designed for anyone who is interested in taking proactive steps towards optimal health. Written by Naturopathic providers, these educational online programs can help create a healthy lifestyle based on seven of the most common health challenges we see in our clinic with easy to achieve solutions in the area of food, supplements, medical testing, mindset and lifestyle changes. We originally designed this program to support our patients at Nourish Medical Center, and now it is available for the general public. Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
We love San Diego! There is so much to do that supports a healthy lifestyle! We love the beaches, hikes, farmers markets, local restaurants, yoga and breathwork classes around town. We also love the simple things like taking the kids for a bike ride in the fresh air!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We want to give a special shout-out to all the people that support naturopathic medicine. To the patients, the family members, the social media followers, the professors, the activists, we thank you. Thank you for thinking outside of the box and recognizing and embracing a change in healthcare as we strive to redefine the patient experience and provide long-lasting solutions! We also want to give a shout-out to our office staff and managers at Nourish Medical Center. There is so much that goes on “behind the scenes” that we don’t ever want to take for granted. It literally takes a village and our patient care coordinators help ensure quality and clear communications before, after and in-between doctor visits. They hear and see so much and are often not recognized enough for their role in patient care. So, we want to honor them and recognize their huge contribution to keeping our business and our patient’s health and wellbeing a success!
