We asked folks to tell us about their favorite quote or affirmation and to tell us what it means to them. We’ve shared some of those responses below.

My favorite quote is “Find Your Light and Share it”. This has become the motto of my ROLEmodel team. My ROLEmodel program started as a Senior Rep program in 2014, it is a group of selected high school seniors who share the hope of making the world a better place and represent my business in the community. We help eachother ‘find the light’ inside our hearts and together we ‘share it’ through community service such as volunteering, raising money and donating goods. Read more>>

The only way for you to fail, is if you quit. This simple quote, speaks to me in VOLUMES. Throughout life, one can often think they are failing just because success has not come to them just yet. It is important for us to remember, as long as we are all working towards our own goals on a daily basis, that is everything BUT failing; that is a success story in progression. Read more>>

My favorite quote is, “If you feel like quitting, remember why you started.” This quote really resonates with me because there have been times when I thought I wanted to quit and do something else but my passion for my career kept me motivated and to pursue my goals. It is not easy starting a business, but it takes time and patience. My passion is what keeps me moving forward and reminds me that I am capable of reaching my goals. My drive and determination have the power to change everything in my life. This quote helps me stay grounded and focused. Read more>>

I draw a large part of my inspiration from art, especially paintings and one of my favorite quotes is by one of my favorite artists; Pablo Picasso. It says, “My mother said to me, ‘If you are a soldier, you will become a general. If you are a monk, you will become the Pope.’ Instead, I was a painter and I became Picasso”. This is such a powerful quote and it inspires me on so many levels. To me, this quote embodies how following your passions will lead you to be your best self. Following my dreams and passions was not always straight forward decision for me, taking that decision of leaving all sense of “security” to follow what makes my heart happy was one of the scariest things I’ve done but it has been the most rewarding journey. Always be grateful. For all that I have there has been someone or something that has made it possible. I work hard to help others but I know that there have been people before me who have made all this possible. I am grateful for all that I have and for those that I can share it with. As much as I push to do more, I am forever appreciative and grateful for all I have. Read more>>

My favorite affirmation is a bit lengthy, but my favorite all the same. I try to repeat it to myself once a day, especially when I feel scared or unsure about things. It is: “All is well. Everything is working out for my highest good. Out of this situation only good will come. I am safe.” I like this affirmation because many of the decisions I have made in my life require a lot of risk. The kind of risk where, if things go wrong I could lose everything, but if things go right, the outcome is a big step ahead. Those kind of decisions are what define my future. It’s exciting to look ahead and see potential, but the reality is that you have to take risks to reach your goals. Read more>>

“Confidence breeds beauty”. It’s a simple concept but it has much meaning, I’ve always made sure to stick to this thought. Once I started to embrace my confidence, I felt more beautiful. Being confident and loving yourself is what ultimately makes us beautiful. Read more>>

My favorite affirmation is “Stay afraid, but do it anyway,” (Carrie Fisher) – it personally just resonates with me. (and no, I’m not a star wars fan.) I’m a person who’s struggled with anxiety, panic disorder and depression before I even began my career. Every move I make terrifies me. I’m the type of person who’d much rather be home painting to myself, but I have a lot of dreams and I know if I try, I can do it. That doesn’t stop the constant anxiety. It’s hard because we all paint a perfect picture of our lives on social media, we only show our accomplishments and what we’re happy we’ve created. Read more>>
