Are you a risktaker?

Are you a risk taker? Do you think you have a stronger appetite for risk relative to your friends and family? We asked some folks from the community about their approaches to risk and have shared their thoughts below.

We feel taking a measured risks is a key to putting yourself in a position that will expand you. The game of life is risky. It’s based on a journey of discovery and the walk of the unknown. But, that’s also where you expand your comfort levels which allows more room for growth and wisdom in the art of minimizing risk levels, while still cracking new doors open. Read more>>

The component of risk taking in the decision making process makes me stop and think, “What are all of the possible outcomes? Will the reward be worth it?”. Often, when contemplating a risk I think about all of the things that could go wrong, and decide if the end result will be greater than any possible setbacks along the way. Read more>>

People are afraid of taking risks because of the fear of failure and truly I am not afraid of putting myself out there, failing or making a fool of myself. I think the biggest failure is NOT trying. If you don’t put yourself out there, you will never know what could have been and even if you fail, there is always something to learn from it. Read more>>

My peers have called me an industry disruptor. This only happens by taking risk after risk after risk. For example, I was the first female DJ keynote to speak at a DJ conference ever.
