Meet Christine Borchard | Entrepreneur, Retreat Curator & Nutritionist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Christine Borchard and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christine, do you disagree with some advice that is more or less universally accepted?
One piece of conventional advice I disagree with is the statement, “Happiness is the ultimate goal”
I used to believe that seeking happiness would bring fulfillment into my life, however, I’ve realized that ironically seeking happiness can make people less happy. If we are constantly seeking happiness we are setting ourselves up for disappointment. Life ebbs and flows so rather than seeking happiness, I believe seeking gratitude is a more sustainable and rewarding goal. Gratitude has the ability to help us through the tough times, strengthen our relationships, and unlock the fullness of life.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My name is Christine Borchard and I’m the founder of Wildly Well Retreats. Wildly Well offers soul-enriching getaways for travelers who value movement, mindfulness, and community. I was born and raised in Southern California so anywhere with an ocean feels like home to me. I have a bachelor’s degree in Communication, Master’s in Marine Science, Master’s in Nutritional Therapy, and am also a certified pilates instructor. I clearly LOVE learning, but despite all the traditional schooling I’ve done, the most impactful teacher in my life has been travel. I truly believe traveling is the quickest path to personal growth, confidence, and transformation. I’m on a mission to help you unleash your potential, step out of your comfort zone, and re-connect with the natural world. Wildly Well was built around my love for travel, passion for wellness, & deep desire for community. Today, Wildly Well brings people together from all walks of life who value nature, movement, travel, creativity, and connection. I’m here to remind you to stay bold & embrace your inner wild. It’s okay to be different, that’s what makes us each unique.

I would love to give a shoutout to my husband Michael Borchard. He’s been my number one support system and cheerleader throughout my entrepreneurial journey. He encourages me to be bold, take risks, and go after what I want.
