Meet Taniece Reed | Firearms & Safety Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Taniece Reed and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Taniece, as a parent, what have you done for you children that you feel has had the most significant impact?
For me,my children’s input has been a key piece during my business journey. This is because in my line of work children often get caught in the crossfire of weapons and firearms from a lack of knowledge, home safety provisions and ignorance. So I was more than happy to grow my business all while educating my sons on some big do’s and do not’s. I also enjoy merging my work and family time whenever I can.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I think my love for helping people and my creativeness while teaching sets me apart. Throughout my journey I have listened to each student and have managed to add other great courses that allow everyone to start where they are. When I first started this business (Safety and Firearms Instruction) I wanted the whole family to be included. After some research I found that parents especially loved this aspect. While they come to class their kids can also join a class to learn about safety.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live in Maryland which is right next door to the nations capital so I would definitely take them to one of our museums followed by the wharf where the seafood and atmosphere is amazing. We also have great festivals, food truck events, parties and social spots with games. I love the many rooftop restaurants and fine dining places we have as well.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I think it takes a village to help us in our journey. There are so many people who encouraged, uplifted and patronized my business throughout the years and I’m so grateful. I have been so blessed to have loved ones stand by me day in and day out offering time and resources into making my business what it is today.
