We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeremy LaBahn and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jeremy, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Before starting this business, my and wife and I owned a rental company in San Diego. We were thinking of new way to expand outside of our industry when our best friends wanted to start a Home Staging Company. We decided to partner up and together we started our business!
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We own and operate a home design and staging company in San Diego. For home owners, investors, or contractors looking to sell a home, they hire a company like ours to come in and stage the home with furniture. We started the company almost a year and half ago and there have been ups and downs. It’s exciting to what it grow, but there are challenges that come with growth and sometimes things just move along slower than you would like. I think it’s really important to stay focused and optimistic in achieving your business goals.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Each day would probably revolve around food and drinks. I would take them to all of my favorite Mexican food places around town, coffee shops, and breweries. We’d definitely go to Coronado for the day, check out the beach, and see the sites.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
This might a cliche answer, but I read the book Rick Dad Poor Dad when I was finishing up college and that drastically changed my perspective on life. At the time, I was planning to climb the ranks working for the family business, but deep down I wanted something more for my life. That book helped me recognize how I was thinking small. I decided to take a leap and start my own business.
