We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeff Sipe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jeff, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
It is my belief that you, myself and everyone are a unique gift to humanity. Being so invites us to be creative and original works of art unto ourselves. Being original means following your heart, following your heart means aspiring to something beyond your present self. Taking responsibility for this gift is the act of creating your own reality.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The creation of art/music is not difficult but selling it in order to make a living without funding is. This has always been a challenge and probably always will be.
So then there is the art of selling art which demands half of the creative energy of the artist.
the lesson here is to never stop.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I choose to live life close to nature because it is the natural way of living. I spent decades traveling and living in large cities out of a necessity to be a working drummer. So in order to balance my connection to humanity with my need for experiencing the natural world I located myself and family to be close to both. A visitor to my area would see some of the most beautiful scenery in the world, experience a vibrant artistic community and probably want that for themselves.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
People who have helped me along my journey: My parents ultimate support, Bob crerie my first band mate, Berklee college of music and the teachers and students there, Col. Bruce Hampton, my first touring band The Aquarium Rescue Unit, My wife and children, and a lot of very kind folks
