We had the good fortune of connecting with Sabrina Andren and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sabrina, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I never expected to start my own business. It was my family and friends who really pushed me to consider it. Several years ago I learned that toxic ingredients in conventional beauty products were irritating my skin. After educating myself on finding healthy alternatives to these harmful ingredients, I began creating skin-healing formulas with only natural and organic ingredients and shared them with family and friends. The result was clear and glowing skin! As skin issues began to heal, friends would say, “this is magical!” And that’s how my best seller, Magic Butter Face Cream, got its name. I received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback about how my natural products were not just helping my skin but their skin as well and they told me “you HAVE TO sell this!” I was hesitant, being a busy mom of young kids, but the more I realized how many more people I would be able to help, the more I was motivated to start my business!  I began to seek other solutions to help hydrate all skin types, remedies for sun exposure and other skin issues. My line has grown from special requests from moms who want to have natural options to use on themselves and their family and that’s how Magic Skin Nutrients was born. I would never make a product that I wouldn’t use on my kids and moms are discovering this safe and magical way to care for their entire family. It brings me so much joy to share my products with everyone.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
When your a small business owner you are taking care of every part of the business. What keeps me busy professionally is balancing everything from creating my products, keeping up with inventory, shipping, marketing on social media to selling at holiday boutiques. But I absolutely love it! I feel that I can spend all day on it because I’m so passionate about what I do and why.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting I would definitely spend time at my favorite places in San Diego. We would go early in the morning to Point La Jolla for a nice breakfast (so many good places to choose from) and walk along Shell Beach and Boomer Beach to see the adorable sea lions and their pups! We’d can visit Legoland in Carlsbad, San Diego Zoo or Sea World! There are so many fun options in San Diego and the people and vibes are awesome!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to dedicate this shoutout to my family (especially my husband) and friends! My husband has always been my number 1 supporter, mentor and encourager. My kids are my biggest fans who love being the first to try and smell a new product! My family and friends are my cheerleaders and as excited as I am to share my products with people in our lives. I’ve always wanted to grow through word of mouth and I have thanks to them and number of people that my products have helped.
