We had the good fortune of connecting with Luis Salazar and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Luis, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Two things: makes me feel like in an another dimension and can make people feel/ go to that dimension too.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Music, have been playing and learning instruments since high-school, started making songs during college. Moved from Venezuela to USA back in 2016 and finally quitting an advertising career to go all-in with music. Realized couldn’t and would be impossible to live without it and there’s some things we can portray to make the world a better place through it.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Perfect weekend in Maimi: kayaking at Oletta Park, then lunch anywhere around Wynwood, dinner+drinks at Lagniappe House and wrap the night at Space Club.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Of course, first of al my family, whom made who i am. My bandmates Mario and Rafa- all the Glass Cities crew, audio engineer Alfredo Rivera, art designer Enrique Bosch, Santiago Lavao, Aquiles Salazar, Miguel Montes and much more. All the bands that we’ve shared stage with in the Soflo music scene and last but not least, all the content creators from which I’ve learned throughout all these years, wouldn’t know a thing without them
