We had the good fortune of connecting with Melynda Lopez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Melynda, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
In the past my obligations felt so overwhelming. Being a mother of 4, being a wife, being a nurse especially in the pandemic, and also an entrepreneur.

It was always I need to find balance except I would just over work and self sacrifice until my body forced me to rest with an illness or unexpected event.

Now I think of balance as life. There is no balance in a sense. These are all different parts of my reality that need my attention, but me, my body, my mental health, my energy need the attention first, and then I can attend to all the other needs.

It become easier.

The resentment and the burn out started to fade because I stopped looking at everything as I have to. I have to do this. I have to do that.

I started changing my perspective as I get to.

Everything started to fall into place.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
11 years ago I became a registered nurse. It was probably the most proud day of my life. It took me 12 years to finish my degree in between having children and life.

When I started working as a nurse, I started having supernatural experiences. At the time we had our 2 older children and they were very gifted spiritually. This time I started having odd experiences. I would find white feathers all over the house, in my car, on our front door, at work. EVERYWHERE!

I started hearing beautiful orchestras from the air and I started to feel movement in my hands and body when I was at work as a nurse. I started sensing and seeing energy in the patients.

Some patients would ask me to place my hands over them to help them heal. I even witnessed a miracle healing over night of aspiration pneumonia. I was so scared! I was in denial. I honestly thought I was getting ready to be dropped off at the mental hospital. I thought this was it for me.

At work, I went to the chaplain to ask for support. I told her all the different experiences happening to me. She ended up coming back to find me later that day, She said she received a message for me from another patient. She had a psalm 91:11 for he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.

She said, “you are not crazy. just trust”

So I did. I kept moving. I started getting curious. I learned everything I could on angels, healing, energy, + all the things that seemed impossible.

This was the pivotal moment where my healing abilities expanded way beyond as just a nurse.

A year later, I received guidance to move to Los Angeles.

To rent out out house, to give away all our belongings, to pack up our kids, and head out to LA with no jobs and $600

Although it sounded crazy, I had to trust my inner knowing.

We headed out on this adventure, except on the way to LA our car broke down several times. I remember we were sitting at a rest stop somewhere in Texas just waiting to see if someone would come and help us. Two men finally came about 4 hours in. They found what was wrong with the car, but the part wouldn’t arrive for 24 hours, so we had to stay the night.

The next morning the men met my husband and fixed the car. I remember this so vividly. I was sitting in my car next to my 13 year old son at the time. I started praying and calling specific angels for help. Next to our car was my husbands car with the hood up as my husband was still working on the car.

my son said, “Mom, I need to talk to you”. I was praying so I was ignoring him. He said, “MOM”. I looked up at him, annoyed. “WHAT?”

He said, “Mom there is a huge angel under daddy’s car”.

I responded, “WHAT?” He didn’t know I was just praying for Archangel Michael to help my husband fix his car. So I asked, “What does he look like and what is he holding?” He responded, “He is blue, he is large, he has a hammer in one hand and sword in the other”.

I am shocked at this point. I said, “Do you see anything else?” I also prayed for Archangel Raphael to take us to California. He said, “YES! There is an army of angels coming over there and the one in the front is green and all the other ones are silver. I think they are gonna escort us to California”.

I am besides myself. At this point in my life I could feel energy, but not see things. I prayed, but wasn’t sure if it was real yet .

Until this moment. The story continues to more miracles, but this was such a pivotal moment in my life that the path I was on- was very different than the norm and what every one expected me to do. I never doubted that angels, energy, healing, guides, all the unseen was just crazy or made up.

I fully trusted that day!

The next phase of our journey sure wasn’t easy. We had many struggles living in LA. Trying to find a job and survive. The greatest lesson I gained not only was trust in miracles and you are so supported by the unseen, but also the art of detachment.

We let go of everything tangible, but the most important piece was our love and support as a family.

Now my gifts have evolved into guiding others into reclaiming their innate gifts and fully embrace their physicality and their divinity as a beautiful gift we get to experience here on earth.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am pretty much a homebody as we have 4 kids, but places we would definitely go.

Drive through Topanga canyon. It’s so peaceful and head out to the beach in Malibu, and eat some seafood at Neptune’s Net.

Take a walk in the Village in Woodland Hills. and let the kids play at the playground. Eat ice cream ( I cant remember the name of the place, but is delicious). Go shopping at Varga a super cute clothing shop and then shop for sage and crystals right next door.

Definitely a must must have sushi at Lil Brothers. It is our favorite place we go to for birthdays, anniversaries, and all celebrations.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to shout out my husband Gary Lopez.

I met him when I was 13 years old and we have been inseparable ever since. He has been the most supportive husband, teacher, and everything for me. He is the reason I am who I am today. I am so grateful and blessed to be able to move through this journey of life together.
