We had the good fortune of connecting with Flower Renee and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Flower, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I had been working 9-5, service industry type jobs from a very young age (14) & over a span of a few years I realized that I was losing the most incredible thing that I had: time. I knew shortly into working that I would want to be self employed and own my time. My thought process was, “life is too short to be stuck in a building all day long.” And so it began, I took up an opportunity and ran with it.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m lucky to be able to do multiple things. The two main things I focus on right now, are Arbonne and influencing. I really don’t enjoy the title “influencing” so sometimes you’ll hear me use the title “content creator”. I’m not the usual suspect for either of these categories but that’s what makes a difference in the world right now. That you don’t have to be cookie cutter to do something impactful. In Arbonne, I share with people clean products and a healthy business where we connect with one another over making the world a better place. With content creating I am able to have fun, take pictures, make videos, work on myself, share my story & connect with others. 5 years ago I became obsessed with clean eating and clean products, I had suffered from depression from a young age and wanted to find ways to help me with my illness. I found that clean eating, moving my body, going outside, reading, playing with my friends and dreaming is what helped me with it. Arbonne & content creation help me with all of that. Freeing my time so I can help myself when need to and then help others do the same. I’m still learning right now, I’m still growing. That will never change. Nothing worthwhile is easy, there will always be growth challenges, what makes a good leader is how you move and change with the circumstances you’re under. I’ve learned that not everything goes the way you want, but life provides what you need and the more in tune you are with divine energy & dreams, the more you’ll be given what you need. I want the world to know that if you always have felt out of place, or like you were meant for something big, or that you thought differently than everyone else, there is a reason for that, and you ARE meant to follow that calling even if you don’t know what it looks like in the long run. My story is not unique, it’s personal, but not unique. There are so many individuals that have felt this same way, took those feelings and RAN with it. Anything is possible. There were plenty of people that told me growing up that I would never amount to anything getting older. Instead of listening to them, I listened to my dad, I listened to my uplines, and because I did that, I’m on the right track.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
This is so interesting, I just moved to Florida from Los Angeles. If I was speaking about LA, I would have the longest list in the world for this answer. And when friends have come and stayed, I took them EVERYWHERE. I want tot switch it up and talk about Florida.
I would take my best friend to the beach, in Daytona. I would then take them to Copperline Coffee, and then The Dairy Bar.
My grandparents took me to these spots when I was little and they’re nostalgic for me.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I can credit my success to so many things that has helped me grow over the years, but the very first thing that impacted me was how I was raised. I’m lucky to have a father that wouldn’t take no for an answer. He was in a car crash that changed his entire life in his early 20’s. The doctors and his professors told him he would never be the same & told him he would never graduate college. He took a year to heal, and low and behold, he graduated with a bachelors in business from UNLV. He moved forward to eventually create his own company called Sobak Financial. I learned a structured work ethic at a young age from my father. Next up are my up lines in Arbonne, Sam, Anna, & Avery. Sam introduced me to Arbonne in a trivial time in my life, where I was enduring a large amount of suffering & everything changed when making the decision to jump right in and have my own business. The mentorship I’ve gotten from the three of these wonderful women has impacted me in ways I won’t even be able to describe. Learning to put people & the planet first, was a huge game changer for how I approach business, and it felt like a breath of fresh air to be apart of a company that aligns with my morals. To connect with others that view life the same way is an even bigger breath of fresh air.
I can also contribute my growth to books I’ve read: Believe It, Think & Grow Rich, Get Over Your Damn Self, & Ask & It Is Given. Pouring into myself as an individual is one of the sole reasons I am good with people and in business.
