We had the good fortune of connecting with Elijah Gibbins croft and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Elijah, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I think that art is all we have aside from love as people. When you forget about superficial devices such as money, material possessions and work you are left with art, creativity, love, and passion. These are the real building blocks of our humanity, the things that make our culture. I can’t think of anything I would rather be doing then creating as a musician.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My music is set apart from others because I am striving for a musical experience as opposed to something playing in the background. I want people to tune in and turn up the volume when a song of mine comes on. I am most excited about the upcoming songs I have written with my band. I would say making it as a creative is never easy. It’s filled with tons of trials and tribulations along with massive self doubt. I’ve learned to cherish great moments and work through hard ones, never give up. I want the world to know that music is a building block to life, many people don’t consider the music that they listen to as anything significant. Music transcends culture, time, and emotions. I wish to teach more people to love and prosper through my music.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would show them all my secret spots that I cannot disclose in this interview. I will say bread n cie has great breakfast and Zia’s pizza is fire.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Firstly I would like to shoutout my mothers for believing in me as an artist and cheering me on every step of the way. I would also like to shoutout my friends who have helped me grow as a musician.
