Meet Roshun Wynne, Jr | Athlete, Actor/Model, Fitness Trainer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Roshun Wynne, Jr and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Roshun, what matters most to you?
Loyalty, trust and doing right by others is one of my most valued principles.
Loyalty is important to me because it something that many people no longer have these days. Most people switch up instead of communicating and coming to an understanding with people. The most important thing is to act exactly the same when someone isn’t around as you would when they are in front of you. There are just some lines you don’t cross, so if I see people moving in that manner I stay away.
Trust is very important. Without trust you have nothing. It definitely can be the deciding factor in whether I do business with someone or not. Being able to trust that people will get task done in the time they say or even just keeping their word is very important to me. It shows the character of that individual or that company.
Doing right by other is probably one of the most important things to me. I see a lot of people who are out here for self and do not care about hurting people to get to where they want to be. Those are the people I try to stay away from as those people will do any and everything to get ahead in life, even if it means hurting the people they say they love. Thats something I never want to be associated with nor the type of energy I want to put into the world.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The reason I am where I’m at today is because I never gave up on myself despite what my circumstances looked like or what others tried to say to discourage me along the way. It has not always been easy. I have overcome so much from being betrayed by friends, being cut from teams, having to go through a period where I wasn’t make enough money. The one thing I managed to do is continue to press forward and find a way to continue to move forward. That has always been one of my mottos; Always Moving Forward. By the grace of God, I’ve been able to maintain a sane mind. I think working in a mental health facility was the best thing that has happened to me. It gave me a perspective of where I could of been had God not given me a strong mind. It also made me appreciate so many things we take for granted in every day life like being able to just walk outside when you want to or even eat for that matter. Little things like that we take for granted. It really put a lot of things into perspective for me. I am blessed and thankful for life and my well being of my mental health.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate this to my family. Through all of the obstacles I’ve had to overcome in my life they were always there. They are the ones who keep me going. They keep me grounded and always help keep me focused.
Most importantly I want to thank myself for staying dedicated to accomplishing my goals and never letting other people around me hinder what I have envisioned for myself.
