We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexandra & Natalia Escobedo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexandra & Natalia, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind our success has been the sourcing of product that we are proud of. We know it tastes good and it also evokes the flavor of traditional Mexican confectionary while still having that modern twist.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Our business proudly sells Mexican snacks and confectionary with a modern twist. Our products are gluten free as well as sugar free and free of any conservatives. We are proud to say that we are currently available to shop in stores at Rustica in La Mesa. It hasn’t been the easiest road but it has been a rewarding one and it brings us joy to be able to share our traditional Mexican treats with the world.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If we had friends visiting the area I would definitely take them down the Coast to check out our beautiful beaches. Maybe stop along the way and check out some places like the new Portside Pier! Particularly Ketch. I would also take them to eat at some local hot spots like Mujeres Divinas in National City or Holy Paleta in Little Italy! Definitely we would go to Balboa Park, North Park and UTC!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We would like to dedicate our shoutout to our friends and family as well as those people who have actively participated in helping our business branch out.
