We had the good fortune of connecting with Chastitee Witherspoon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chastitee, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
The balance of my work life has changed drastically over the past five years in the right way. I’ve always prided myself on having structure and an effective schedule to back it up.. I learned the benefits of balance the hard way after being a single mom of 2 for eight-plus years. It was best to create balance, after many tests and trials. Being Mom of 2 children, now 11 and 15, running two businesses, and in a newfound relationship in the past few years, life got hectic again. I instilled scheduling a healthy harmony between business and life; it was a challenge that did not last long for me to obtain a schedule that worked with me, not against me. That’s one of the biggest tips a plan that works with you. I remember as a former 9-5 employee who worked in corporate, financial firms, and dead-end jobs, you’re consistently working around an inconvenient agenda. As a mother, this can be a genuinely problematic issue that creates even more significant problems. I took hold of the opportunity to turn it around and create a balance that works for my family and myself; I have to say I love harmony or balance as you say. No more burnouts, not being present, and just overall frustration. I appreciate the experience of figuring it out and my family’s support through it all. Balance brings back the ability to enjoy every part of life, instead of watching life pass you by. My most significant and happiest moment is that I now have applied this advantage to my programs in teaching busy & overwhelmed mompreneurs & female entrepreneurs to have the same luxury of having a systematic flow in business & life.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What sets me apart most is my ability to become highly solution-oriented and strategic about every move involved in getting to the ultimate goal, and this counteracts with my mindset and perspective on things. I am most proud of the growth in my business by helping women launch their business the right way and set them up for success. Studies have shown that the biggest downfall for women to succeed in work-life balance. An to be the solution for women to create Operating Systems & Automation to bring simplicity, efficiency & profit to a fellow Boss Babe is the most incredible feeling. How did you get to where you are today business-wise. A lot of failing forward and learning to get out of my way: Personal development was my jam. I’ve had so many challenges in my life that I wish someone offered me a book at a younger age than would change my life like the “Millionaire Mindset” it’s one of my favorite books. Other readers like Ten-Feet from Gold, Rich Dad Poor Dad, Traction, know your why, slight edge, and more. Was it easy? No, but is it worth it! Every challenge, tear, frustration, failure shaped me for the better. If not, how did you overcome the challenges? I stayed consistent in my personal development; some would say that I was a junkie to personal growth, but I instead have been so deep in becoming the most excellent version of myself because I saw what it looked like being the ugliest version of myself, and it leads nowhere. A saying I would say to myself when the challenges got steep ” There must be something great on the other side, and it’s ready for me.” What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way? = Entrepreneurship meant for the strong-willed = Create discipline and consistency early on in life = Get rid of old ways that do not serve you = Learn money management and investing early on. = Personal Development is the key to success & a healthy mindset = Have a plan = Accountability to yourself is important = Progress is better than perfection = Daily Self-Care is essential. = To have three levels of people consistently around you: A person who’s more successful than you for you learn from, someone who’s equal to you, and someone you can teach under your level of success to help them rise. All three people play a significant role in your growth, but you also play a part in theirs.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The first thing is Brunch; there are too many fabulous brunch spots in California from Great Maple, Breakfast Republic, Brians 24, and Dune in San Diego, to name a few. For drinks, we would go to this cute, relaxing restaurant called Zinque; they have one of the best negroni drinks I’ve had. We would hang out on the boats in the bay area or jet ski, movie theater, dave and buster, winery. It depends on the day and mood because sometimes hanging together at home binging your favorite series is a good time with some good oh girl talk.
