We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexandra Azat Brittany Parnell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexandra Azat, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Our team. There is no way to create so much beauty without an absolutely epic team involved in your business.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
We create understated and approachable yet highly stylized and elegant floral designs for the style-savvy bride. We are a group of creatives that love, love and love our clients. We are a bit unique in our area as we are affiliated with a sister company that specializes in the ultra luxury market, giving us access to a huge, high-end inventory and years of luxury experience. We started after years of servicing the luxury market and seeing a need in the market for a high-end, sophisticated look that could service a more broad clientele at a more competitive price-point with no minimums. We opened our doors about three years ago and never looked back!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First, I’d ask them to extend their trip because we’ll need longer than a week in San Diego to soak in all it’s beauty! ; ) But here are just a few of our favorite spots: Grabbing a chai latte and breakfast at Claire’s in Solana Beach, a donut at VG’s, or Frost Me Cafe & Bakery for a cappuccino, then strolling down Cedros or Little Italy and checking out the art galleries and antique furniture stores and see where the morning takes us. A few fun lunch spots we frequent are Thyme in the Ranch, Michele Coulon Dessertier (french onion soup is a must!), or Fidel’s for a spicy margarita and some cheesy chips. We also love picking up a sandwich at Board and Brew then walking down to Del Mar Beach for a fun lunch picnic on the sand, and a walk to dog beach with our pups Parker (great dane) and Ryder (mini golden doodle)! Taking an e-bike down the 101 or Coronado and soaking in the ocean, or through Balboa Park and admiring the architecture and museums, even stopping to paint (yes we actually do this!) are all always a great time! We love nursery hopping around all of San Diego (we have SO many great ones!), and baking up treats for friends. For happy hour or dinner you can find us sipping martinis at The Pony Bar at Rancho Valencia, ordering foie gras tacos at Pamplemousse Grille, enjoying shrimp dumplings at Pacific Coast Grill, ordering steaks at Born and Raised, or most often hosting our own dinner parties with friends and family playing board games at our homes!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We’d like to shoutout to two of our team members that have played an integral part in our growth and success; Noriko Mochida and Sara Eaton. We love you both!
