We had the good fortune of connecting with Richard Myles and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Richard, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I have worked in the private sector, and also the state and federal government for a number of years. There were dynamics in all three capacities that left a putrid taste in my mouth. For example, every job had their own respective internal policies that were only enforced upon employees that were not part of the “in-group” and that was quite frustrating. I also experienced a dearth of appreciation of my hard work and dedication from the upper echelons of the organizational structure. Lastly, I became jaded by the politics and overall favoritism exuded in the work environment. All said dynamics, inspired me to start my own business. I love being in charge, and setting my own work climate. I am a natural born leader, with that being said, when I work for others, it feels reductive and antithetical to what I represent.

My panoply of education has provided me with the certitude to embark upon any challenges with resolve. Many people are held back in life due to their paucity of education, people skills, and experience for the same. I use to be afraid to step outside my comfort zone due to the mere thought of failing. I have learned throughout the years that making mistakes is concomitant with success. There are peremptory rules to the recipe of success. For example, you need to be disciplined, organized, set goals, prioritize, and hold on to your dreams with perseverance and tenacity.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love entertaining my guests. I would take a visitor out to my favorite five-star restaurant “Nolan’s” on the lake. I would take my guest on a natural tour to Canandaigua Lake and also Watkins Glen. Both places are suffused with a ray of beauty. Lastly, I would take my guest to Philip’s European Restaurant for a nice homemade dessert and coffee, to end our night.

I have been giving psychic readings for over 20 years, and producing music for 18 years, respectively. Spotify listed my last 4 albums on their “radar” list which was a huge accomplishment for me.

I give a huge shoutout to SongCast for their years of amazing support, and my best friend/business partner “Arthur Papanastasiou” who editorialized several of my music album covers, and mixed/mastered my last 6 studio albums. He is the best business partner in the world, and I am blessed to know him.
